The thing is, there really isn't a bad word there. It just so happens that this larger word contains a bad word as part of its spelling. "*****eyed", "half*****ed", "*****roach", "*****atoo", "*****-a-doodle-doo!"; none of those are bad words, but they all contain the same censored thing. In fact, the word in question isn't a bad word if used for it's traditional definition as opposed to it's colloquial one. "I *****ed my head sideways". What I don't get, though, is why the forum censor makes five asterisks out of four censored letters...

Anyway, if you're worried about someone reassembling your shredded/torn stuff, the answer is simple: don't shred or tear it, just burn it. Noone can reassemble ashes, nor can anyone even tell what they were besides that they were paper.

If you always take the same road, you will never see anything new.
If you can read this, you deserve a cookie.

Iv always  thought that part of the probem with identy theft is the sheer number of applications that get sent out.

I get  2-3 a week. so that means thier sending out millions of these things every day.

In some places, it is illegal to burn stuff unless you burn it in your house.  I've burned paper before, and it smells really bad.

What is a lot better is a quality shredder.  Royal used to make (and maybe still does) a shredder that cut paper into strips that were only .125 of an inch wide by 1 inch wide.  According to my math, that machine would turn an 8.5x11 piece of paper into 748 pieces of confetti.  It also shreds credit cards and CDs.  I wouldn't recommend manually breaking CDs though unless you have them well wrapped up.  They tend to go off like grenades.

CDs i just rub the back of it with  course sandpaper and break them into  a few peices.

Not sure you should put CD in a shreder ( especialy the cheap ones they sell today)
