I'll be following this with interest.  I visited the Yucatan a few years ago and saw Merida, Chichen Itza, Coba and Uxmal while I was there.

By the way El Castillo, Chichen Itza is on the STEX - so you don't need to use an Egyptian pyramid.  There's also a few buildings with a colonial spanish feel, but you'll have to spend some time trawling the STEX to find them.

Edit:  I see you've updated with the El Castillo model - that's looking much better!

yes those pyrimids are really cool.  But yes they are in stex, and as most people already know, egyptian pyrimids are flat, where Myan and Aztec Pyrimids were like stairs sort of.  However, that was a really good start, is this going to be back then (the rest of the CJ) or is it going to time travel and grow into a modern day city?

Actually, this is only ambientation, the important part will be when the city is founded and starts growing. Take this as the terraforming part; which I didn't make since M

    Henequen, the green gold

Thanks to the local cultive, the henequen (a plant like the agave) the little town becomes a prosperous and industrious city, many haciendas (huge one-family owned lands that produced henequen) spread all along Yucat

Well, first, thanks for all your comments.

Second. About AoK, I only used that picture for ilustravie purposes and I never tought that you would find it more than a curious detail, but since there has been so much interest about it I will try to include more AoK's pictures; maybe to ilustrate the war of the castes.

Sorry, Double post. But I'll use it anyways.

There's another BAT I'd Like to have: The house of Montejo. It would be a nice detail for my city and is and easy building to make, but it isn't more important than the CATHEDRAL wich I believe is the most important landmak in the city. I insist, if ANYONE can make it PLEASE do it.

This CJ is coming along nicely. I like the exploration concept, and the integration of one of my favorite games of all time, Age of Kings. Great job, and I look forward to some more updates.

One request: Can you provide some farther zoomed/new regional screenshots? Just to get a better idea of the development as a whole. Thanks. 10.gif

Well, here we are, the next update. I've been so busy with the batting and stuff that I haven't been able to write any more story. But I hav made the Layout of a big part of the city. I won't be making any more a chronologycal story (too exhausting23.gif) but I'll build the hole city as it is today. Perhaps I would make some historical comments of certain places41.gif.

Here's what I have so far:

Thank you 6underground, I've lurked in your CJ a couple of times and it's very impressive, I've noticed the custom BATS you use, they're terrific. I specially like the Sheakspeare's theatre.

I'm glad you liked my CJ!2.gif
