Glad to see you are back and with some power my friend.  I am sure you are going to have some fun with the new machine, of course, it will be completely outdated in about 3 weeks2.gif  I'm waiting on my new monitor as we speak.  I finally got around to ordering a new....19 flat panel, plus I figured since I was spending the Jack, I might as well go ahead and place an order for another gig of ram...w00t.

Let's take a look at your update shall we?

We start with some tech shots, I really do like those....The markets look fantastic as does the extra parking provided.  Ahh, another airport tram, let's hold on for the after the click shot.  BTW, what are those small type tower lots above the tunnel entrance?

The new residential area looks great.  Of course I always enjoy watching it develop.  What I really like about the area is how the zonez are connected to each other.

There is that after the click pic.  I like the use of the commercial zoning around the tram and there are those small towers again....my curiosity is killing me.

Great update D, it's good to have you back......I kind of figured that your machine up and died on you.  It wasn't sounding too healthy when you got back from vacation.  I'll meet you at the Dunkin Donuts there in pic 13_17 before work tomorrow2.gif

Have a great week.

Beautiful as usual, great city you have there Darmok. I really like your use of parks and tree lots. You should call one of your cities Tanagra lol. I live in Quebec as well,  I live around the Montreal area. Well I'll be looking forward to the next update.  Have a good day and welcome to page 41.

Thanks man, I agree about the Sun Bank building, it is really good looking and has a real life look!

    Chris
Hey Chris glad you liked it! About the asphalt mod it's already in use, It just that those pics are quite old. In fact you'll see in this update some pics I had to take anew in Dol Amroth and the asphalt look is there now.

    Nardo
Hi Nardo, I really do understand and I send all the good vibes I can to you and your family.
I appreciate your good words, and those 1 tile deep res zones are great to produce High density neighborhoods. Thanks for the tip about the other bus stop, I'll be downloading them on the STEX this afternoon.
    Take care my friend

    kb

    AL
Nope nothing wrong, now! as I said to Jacky only thing is that I have to reinstall a lot of things and that takes time. But I'm having fun doing it so!3.gif

Thanks for the tip, 44.gif those are the things we tend to forget, using it now, you'll see a picture today that'll show it.

Just downloaded the parking spaces, appreciate the info!

The building you want is the Trump International Hotel Tower Toronto ver. 0

    Hey S_A
Yep I think I was kind of lucky there! And as it was not an HD crash, I lost nothing!
Thanks for the support man! Oh by the way, I really like your Cycle ways, 19.gif they're doing great in Osgiliath, in fact there will be an entire Cyceways network in the city! 3.gif

    D.
Yes buddy, back and ready to rumble!
Hey great news about the monitor, 44.gif I know I'm really satisfied with mine! Working in 1600X1200 is breathtaking! 3.gif And I'm sure you'll appreciate the extra RAM, we never have enough of the stuff.

Please don't die of curiosity! 34.gif Those towers are The Black Hole Water Tower

Another great update D.  I really like how, in just about every update, you tend to use Jeroni's parking spaces from his Tarmac Trailpark set to really add emphasis to your construction.  Those parking spaces and entrances behind/between each condo building looks great...Ultra-realistic.

I see that you did take my suggestion as to how to intersect streets with avenues in the Les Halles pictures...looks good! 19.gif  I am also patiently waiting to see how you redo the airport tram with those other parking lots.

Great job man... keep em coming... 44.gif

As usual a completely stunning update. Where did you get those big lamp posts? Yes I do have some knowledge of the Star Trek universe. On the TNG The Inner Light is also my favorite. I like DSN more then TNG though. Well till the next one et la bonne chance avec votre mise

Great stuff D.  Really like the look and the feel of the industrial area.  I also like what you did with the parking behind the residential apartment buildings in 14_11 and 14_12.  The Les Halles area was beautifully done my friend, but of course, I have come to expect no less from you.

Yep those parking spaces and the new ones you told me about in your previous post, are becoming my bread and butter. When I go to the city that's the first thing I complain about, lack of parking space! So it's kind of a revenge for me I guess! LOL

    Keep those remarks comming! 2.gif

    mayormommy

Thanks, and I think there's only two maybe three updates left before going to Emyn Arnen! And god it's good working without the menace of an imminent crash!

    bartinator
    Thanks Bart.
Those lamp post are :   Highway Light Towers v2 by The Great Chozo

And I must say that my favorite one beside TNG would be Enterprise. More nuts and bolts I guess.

    pikatchoum
Hey Pika! hope you had a good vacation! can't wait for your next update in San Esteban!
    Thanks for your appreciation man!

    dhoppe
If you like industry,D. I think that you'll appreciate Emyn Arnen. It'll be a mix of industry and farming. And I hope that I've learned well what you've been teaching us in LPC.

    gurrgkud
Hey gurrgkud, thanks man, but planning is not really my forte, I mostly wing it along the way, I just start with a general idea and then go with the feeling of the moment... carpe diem!

    Mayor Dave
Hey Mayor Dave, Welcome to Anduin Valley! and thank you for the compliment.

    YAH
And good Ol' YAH always there to give an encouraging word! Missed you man! BTW, do you plan to continue with your CJ? The storyline was interresting!
Oh, and I like your sig... so true so true! 2.gif

    And now folks, here's.......

    3_dol_am_intro15.jpg

Here's the sector that we will work on today.

    dol_am_up_15_01.jpg

    Some basic terraforming

    dol_am_up_15_02.jpg

    Some trees and zoning.

    dol_am_up_15_03.jpg

    An overview

    dol_am_up_15_04.jpg

Mansions are appearing! Potential buyers, to your wallets.

    dol_am_up_15_05.jpg

Here's a detail about what MasterPlanMan was saying a month ago about the overutilisation of cement or brick walls, sometimes we can just put grass and trees and the look is very natural indeed. Though I wouldn't want to do the lawn there!

    dol_am_up_15_06.jpg

Some new houses (soon to be replaced by more expensive ones)

    dol_am_up_15_07.jpg

    Another overview

    dol_am_up_15_08.jpg

    Terraforming for the walkways

    dol_am_up_15_09.jpg

    dol_am_up_15_10.jpg

    Rebuilding process is started.

    dol_am_up_15_11.jpg

    Coming nicely

    dol_am_up_15_12.jpg

Early layout of the lower sector.

    dol_am_up_15_13.jpg

    dol_am_up_15_14.jpg

What it looks like now! And as promised to Shadow Assasin, he have the first pick to chose his house.10.gif

    dol_am_up_15_15.jpg

Continuation of the trails and park

    dol_am_up_15_16.jpg

Some terraforming to bring the trails to the opera

    dol_am_up_15_17.jpg

    dol_am_up_15_18.jpg

    dol_am_up_15_19.jpg

And a Flower market is comming to town, doing great business with the Opera!

    dol_am_up_15_20.jpg

    dol_am_up_15_21.jpg

Here you go folks, only one, maybe two more before going to Emyn Arnen!

I'm always glad to read your comments and suggestion, so like Aldara is saying, keep em comming!

A few updates to catch up on, Darmok.. First of all I love the tunnel shot, really nice work on how you did the fences around the tunnel, looks really realistic. Also, very nice honda dealership..might have to pick up a Civic and tune it up. 2.gif

Great posh section! I really love the way everything looks, and the houses in that area, definitely would like to live around there. 48.gif Extremely nice work as usual, D. 2.gif

And can I do a request?...Even if I can't, I am doing one 48.gif. Could I see the Harbour, where my estate and my Coca Cola office is? Thanks alot!

More great stuff my friend.  You picked quite the big area to show off today.  I always enjoy your presentation and your walk through approach.  You continually remind me that I should be taking plenty of pics while building.  I really do like, as well, pic 15_06, where you used the grass on slope instead of the retaining walls.  Looks rather natural.  Later pal.

Lovely work, Darmok. I rather like how everything is laid out, but...

Maybe have an area of the city that follows natural contuours, rather than terraforming every square inch of it? It would look nice, as well.

Wow that's some nice work there Darmok. I always like the way you blend urbanization with nature. As far as Enterprise goes I liked it when it first started but it got a little cheesy towards the end though. I do agree with you though about the nuts and bolts, to bad we wont get to see it anymore. Anyway as usual great update can't wait till the next one.

Great work in your last updates!
I like especially how you put Jeroni's park tiles around the high rises - you got really a hand for them!
You made the posh sector lovely green, maybe there's a house for Urland's mayor if Mr. Schlaubauer drives him round the corner???

Hey Chris, seeing how you're working in Palm Point it's certainly understandable that you have less time to visit. As for the houses, in the posh sector you're welcome to make an offer on the one you like, only catch is, Shadow_Assassin has the first pic.

This is the first time I visit your CJ and I am very, very impressed. Such a great use of trees and parks and little trails and rivers and creeks and ...

    I am nearly speachless.

One thing I don't like that much: The huge skyscrapers that are peaking out of your park-like landscape here and there. I think some of them are a little bit oversized for the places they occupy.

But not counting that: Simply amazing.
