I don't know if this is a bug as such.

I tried to post, using quick reply , in my GHSR thread which has a poll on it. And when I click reply a Message Box comes up and says :"Sorry, there are currently no polls." nad then gos back to the page with my post still in the quick reply box and not on the thread, I have tried refreshing the page but it didn't work. I had to edit my last post to say what I wanted/had to say.

I think this is a legitimate bug with poll threads.  I have seen it before.

Workaround:  don't use quick reply.

aww ok... i got temp banned as reuslt of this chat problem mentioned above... said god damit and left after frustration and in the process found a posible bug in the ban system...

in the 3days i was banned i was able to surf the forums while still loged in... but everything els had the your banned msg or was i supost to be able to see the forums??

Simtropolis has seem to have added a new type of searching system. You type in a letter or two, and a list appears with possible matches. However, this makes my browser (Safari) crash on certain letters (especially "s"). Perhaps you could specify whether to have the "special" search field or not in your user preferences?

I can not for the life of me find the post for login problems on the STEX....It wont take my password, and I have sent in requests for my password......Im confused now....anyone HELP?

Question is basically, I cant download anything till I log in. yet I can post......???? strange....any Ideas friends????

Now I can't see images and download from the STEX...  I don't know whats up with the STEX...

Not sure if this is a bug or not. I am suddenly unable to access ST, and after trying for days I decided to try a proxy server and viola, here I am. So my I believe my IP has been blocked...without any notice. Since I don't recall making any forum posts that were extraordinarily offensive, I'm not sure of the reason for my problems. Any help, esp. from mods/admins??

Hey Manticorefan,

It must be something on your end. We haven't banned you.

Fiddle around with your connection, maybe your server at home ain't working properly.

After more experimentation and tinkering, I have found: If I drop  the IP masker while logged on to ST, no other pages or links on the site will work, except back buttons. Also, the google ads are replaced by an error message. I did a full restore back to 10/19,  the last time I could log in.  My internet and connection settings haven't been changed at all.  I don't have this problem at any other site at all. The only way I can connect to ST is with a masker or proxy, but this is a slow way to go.

Me again...I have found that some jackass put my IP on several blacklists, and evidently ST subscribes to at least one of them. I am still navigating through this problem with the help of network analysts. I will be back!

Okay, sorry for breaking the 2 pr (if you count my 'evil clone'), but my recent issues are a cautionary tale I believe may be of benefit. After getting help from 3 levels of analysts at my ISP, 3 different virus scans and a long trip through various blacklisting databases, I found I had picked up a virus that had gotten past my firewall and was spamming without any indications it was even on my computer. This led to my being blacklisted as a spammer. Thus, ST would not let me in. The source of this ingenious little bug was likely myspace. My trouble is over now. And my 'evil clone' will go away too.

hey ive been a member that has been almost unkown by the rest of you guys...but ive hit a problem...i changed my e-mail and password a few days back but now i cant log into my old account, wertopian....so i had to make this newer account, but my email is still being used under the old one, therefore i still have to use my old e-mail under this website, something i was tring to avaoid in the first place. someone please tell me what i can do than you.

When you changed your e-mail you should have received a new password automatically that you can then change.  Since you are on hotmail, it may be in your trash bin, or may have been killed by the server as spam.  Do check.

I agree with N_O_Body on that...i found out the hard way also. LOL... I don't encourage changing email, unless you absolutely have to.

well at this point i have to go between 3 emails and im getting tired of it, so i chose to get rid of my 1st aim mail, and then kept my 2nd aim mail and my hotmail...but i want most traffic to the second aim mail...i checked baq constantly and have yet to see any new emails from simtropolis, even in my junk mail....i have asked to have my info resent multiple times, but still i have no dice....if anything i'd like to have the old account put baq to normal and this one deleted, if i cant get the mail changed

IE is so full of silly expectations having to do with the Visual Development suite, that it is more than a browser.  It is a d..ned nuisance.  Use Firefox or some other browser that isn't trying to be an operating system.

Okay, if you look at this post and this post, you'll notice something funny going on. There's supposed to be an embedded image, but it's playing invisible man with us. A look at the html shows that the tag contains this code:

img style = "display: none;" quote>

which I suspect is causing the problem. Unfortunately, since this is rich text editing, we're not responsible and we can't exactly fix it. The forum software is putting that there for some reason.

Hey guys, I'm having a problem uploading a new avatar. Whenever I try to upload one, I get this error:

Is this a bug with the website or is there something wrong with my file? Yes, I've tried another image and I received the same error. Anyone know what's wrong?
