How about from a doting father.

 

Even though I live in the Metropolitan  Washington, D.C. area

I did not take my kiddoes (5 & 7)to the 4th of July celebrations

this year.  They are afraid of the sound of  fireworks.

 

 

However I did the Saturday just before take them to the National Aquarium

in Washington. http://www.nationalaquarium.com/ .  This is not to be

confused with the National Aquarium in Baltimore http://www.aqua.org/ .  

That thing is huge, takes about 2-3+ hours to go through and cost $18.00

per adult and $11.00 per young'un.  The one in D.C takes about

45 minutes to go through and cost $5.00 for adult and $2.50 per kiddoe.  It's nearly the perfect outing for my brood.  I take them

about once every 3-6 months and they have had fun every time. 

It's located under the Dept. of Commerce Building and is about a

couple of blocks from the Washington Monument and the National Mall.

And ilovedogs, I hate to break the news to you, but there are certain norms of conduct here on ST, and in the real world. Please, be nice to everyone and stay on the straight and narrow. That way, no one gets nibbled on the ear by bunnies (of the vicious ST variety) or smote by duckies.
