    This is exactly what I've been needing. I get so frustrated because my downtown river fronts look like garbage all the time. I just can not get them how I like. This will give them the classy but simple and structured look I like and prefer. In fact,since I like to do my river fronts and downtowns first I am going to wait til these are out before I start my new city. So hurry up,I'm itchin' to play!!!! 29.gif2.gif17.gif

    It's funny but,for all of the grand creations people make,it's often something so simple and straightforward like this that makes the biggest impact on game enjoyment and city realisim.

    Well done and already an early leader for BAT of the year! 44.gif

    This is going to be perfect!!  Very well done! Especially the menu's... Otherwise it would be hard to use it, even though the lots are there... A city with water will not be complete anymore without these lots on some places 2.gif

    very easy to use, i agree. I am currently modding them to blend in with my city though, I am uising porkissimo's seasonal trees on the lots, and on the diaganol sections i am changing the base texture to a concrete one so it blends in with the avenues in my city, i will post pics as soon as i get them. Thanks for this great addition marrast!!!

    To all: Well, that's great that you, guys, find this set so easy to use :} I'm really glad.
    I hope that custom icons i've made really helps. All this stuff looks odd and difficult to make out with icons, based on in-game shots :}

    P.S. No any problems with using of corner pieces?

     No problems with the corners and the icons are easy to understand after you use one piece to compare it to what the icon shows.

    Just downloaded Beta - Will try to test it though my pc is slow and i have to get up early tomorrow .... 23.gif

    But the pictures DO LOOK GREAT!!!!! 29.gif

    Hey - an Idea for addon: Irrigation Channels like the ones Simgoober made need a supply of waters. In big river valleys they have kind of pumping stations 2.gif - could have a water supply function like the original water tower! 1.gif. And a connection to Oppies Kanal could be made as a lock (such a lock is already on the STEX I think - at least I downloaded one)

    I have to go offline now to see your great piece of ark!!!

    Fantastic job!

    I have had no problems at all. I'm terrible at editing the shore line but I had no problems gettng the ground to accept the walls properly. If I can use them then anybody can.9.gif

    No glitches or bugs so far. The menu icons are excellent.

    All the way around a perfect work.

    I have finally gotten my downtown riverfront to look in game like it does in my head. 19.gif

    Thank you so much for your hard work....44.gif

    Working well for me so far.  And I have a little tip:
    I've been trying the lots out on a few different elevations, and to my eye, it looked best at 255( using the TERRAINQUERY cheat... elevation is represented as the 'y' value, 250 represents sea-level)
     At this height, mabee others too, but I haven't checked, if the bottom of the river bed is at an elevation of roughly 237, it comes just about to the lip of the canal bottom.

    Let me try to show you what I mean
    <ahttp://img31.exs.cx/img31/7259/embankment2ky.jpg align=baseline>

    I've left the canal bed lower at the top of the pic, so you can see the difference.

    I love these, but I am having 1 issue don't know if its the pieces I am using or a visual thing, but here goes....

    during the diag construction I noticed that I had to overlap pieces to get them to fill properly (is this by design?) it looks good at zooms 5,4,3 ?(closest, 2nd closest, middle) but at zoom 2,1 ? (2nd farthest, farthest) the pieces seam to distort and show the overlap, not really a big thing I don't take pics at these zooms normally, just reporting what might be a bug.

    Farthest Zoom (1?)

    Second Farthest Zoom (2?)

    <ahttp://img132.exs.cx/img132/4093/zoom2.jpg align=baseline>

    Middle Zoom (3?)

    WOW, i wrapped my entire main island in this and it looks amazing, and i found something realy cool and neat with it to do with my bridges. Not just the normal thing that is possible with this.

    Wow this set looks amazing! Any chance at making a small pathway piece or something so that we could maybe have it coming from a road further off from the shore? Just using the same texture as you have on the seawall brickway.

    Anyways, it looks great and I can't wait to use it on the downtown of my next city.

    Im not sure if this is a bug.  But its definately a problem.

    A similar problem happens with beaches, where the sand doesn't stay below the water.

    I don't have a picture right now, but if you guys want me to post one, it'd be ok with me.

    Chaplam13: this is a know problem with all beaches in sc4 search the forums for beach bug

    ThePeoplesPerson: it already includes a 1x1 brick path that can be used for this, in fact it includes 2.

    So many comments! Great 44.gif Thank you all, guys :}

    Concerning showing up similiar to beach bug.
    Batters may know that we able to greate only three custom LODs: for the zoom levels 3, 4 and 5. At the zoom level 1 and 2 LODs automatically shows up as a simple box.
    Since the embankment wall is not just  vertical, but has a slope, it has a custom LODs that allows correct intersection with the water.
    At the zoom levels 1 and 2 custom LODs becomes a simple boxes, so that's why it looks so odd.

    This problem can't be removed since SC4 uses custom LODs for three closest views only. And the way it looks is the only thing that makes this problem similiar to beach bug because this set has no lots with water tiles.
