Dang, that looks good. Unfortunately, it interferes with my trademarked Buffalo Sabres Game-Day Special:

Buffalo wings and Genesee Pale Ale. Start at noon so we're properly buzzed for the game!

@ryanb_sc4: Great! Just more for us! 3.gif

@mrbisonm: Ah, true. He'll probably crash the autosystem (the REAL one) with that many. Besides, unless you were trying to satisfy the thirsts and hunger of an entire galaxy, one probably wouldn't need that many shakes anyway. I'll tell it to ignore his order.

@sloppet: Ah, more delicous food. BTW, got any sides for us to feast on? 4.gif

Oh, wait... OK, I'll just do that. *The autosystem serves up soup and salad, which it promptly places on the left and right of the steak platter.* Dig in, all. 4.gif

Or a hungry black hole.

How about this:

Zuke country: Iran peje, Iran peje!

Iran: ???

U.N.: What was that?

Zuke country: Oops, sorry about that, forgot to turn the translater on. Bad Iran, Bad Iran!

Iran: Why should I listen to you?

Zuke country: Because I'm bigger than you are

Iran: So?

Zuke country: Im bigger than China, too, as well as the rest of the planet.

U.N.: I sure hope they are friendly...

Iran. Ack! Hide!

Granar: Hmm, maybe now is not a good time to plan an invasion...

*A large batch of food from many countries, including China, Glump, Granar, Uptasaunt, Japan, Germany, France, Italy, Mexico, Russia, India, Chodov, and others appears*

@defcon pilot:  Most of the so-called islamic terrorists are infidels according to Al Q'ran.  They believe in suicide, for one thing, which is a guaranteed trip to gehenna no matter what their twisted imams may tell them.  You can't pick and choose in Islam.  You either believe all of it and follow its precepts, or you are not in the faith.  If you originally professed the faith and are now outside it, you qualify specifically as an infidel.  If you have never been in the faith, then you are just a heathen, and not an infidel.  Just listen to the rhetoric of Osama and his guys.  This is not Islam, they are spouting.

@ILNOB:  If you understood the place, you would not be looking for a waiter.  Drink your milkshake, like a good boy, and read some of the back thread to see how this place works.

    @justanothersim86:  Enjoy.

@simcityblowup:The employment officer is hym.  You'll have to deal with him.  Sorry, we don't fry llamas here.  If you want a cheeseburger with fries and coke, just think hard for the autosystem.

@Leech10:  Since you want an international cuisine, how about a general rijs tafel with 44 boys providing the various condiments and sauces you would like?  Served.

Autosystem complies.  Hope this is OK, the system had to make a guess on the nicely spiced.  There are extra condiments on the bar if need be.

@N_O_Body: Well, I imagine something must have driven them to twist their religion that way. I mean, it's not like people go to such extremes without a reason. According to this, Al-Qaeda was originally an anti-Soviet resistance movement to help out Afghan refugees. After that was over, they aimed to help free Kuwait from Saddam, but also didn't like the idea of having "infidel" Western troops in the Muslim territory, and... Well, you can read the article. I'd rather not take the time to summarize it myself, because I have work due.

@Leech10: OK, I'm confused. What exactly is going on?

Oh, and just thought I'd lighten the mood a bit:

@defcon pilot:  I like the new avatar, I like almost anything pro environment. I am not sure a clean world is just around the corner but it is a nice thought. In my opinion GreenPeace and the Sierra Club, and other like groups, often can be seen as extremist (which they may or not be) and loose a large portion of the mainstream in their wake.

Just my personal thought, like I say I like the avatar.

As for vid, I think when Thunder Bay thawed out so did vid 47.gif, a scary thought 4.gif.

@defcon pilot:  That picture is very nearly child porn, in my estimation.  I really think it would be better for you to edit it out.  As for Osama and company, the way to Gehenna is paved with good intentions.  If Osama's boys can't tell the difference between an infidel and an unbeliever, they had should attend a better mosque.  Since unbelievers are beyond the pale, so to speak, as long as they don't proseletyze, the muslims should be grateful for their help.  If they didn't need help, they should have said so.

@skink000:  Enjoy!  You make a valid point about the green outfits.  They make too much noise when they would be better off quietly getting on with the job.  The press will never really help them do their jobs, only make them look like extremists when most of them are really not.  I can't tell tales out of school, but I think we'll see no more of vid nor any of his clones.

@N_O_Body: Child porn? 47.gif New babies are usually naked. Or maybe that's just the babies I've known. (Not figuratively.)

Well, I'd say "unbeliever" and "infidel" are fairly close, but you are right. However, judging by what their leader likes to call the group, I'd say that their dislike for us probably dates back quite a while ago. But then, we buy their [the Middle East in general's] stuff, which means plenty of money for them, so... Hmm. Back then, they didn't really have a great reason. But now we're fighting a war against Iraq that is supposedly to "eradicate terror" (a.k.a. Al Qaeda) in the Middle East which has succeded not in that but instead in killing several thousand troops and a hundred thousand innocent Muslims. So they do have a reason. But that's now. Of course, we didn't need to go to war in the first place. We won't win, anyway. They'll stand firm in their beliefs, no matter how warped, and warring with them only gives a reason for them to recruit more soldiers to the cause.

On a lighter note, it's not as though we're going to be attacked by terrorists anytime soon, so I'd say we don't really have much to worry about (at least, not much to worry about on the subject around home).

By the way, being another grammar Nazi, I have the need to point out that you should take out the 'had' in "they had should attend a better mosque".

As for Greenpeace and the others, they (or rather, we, since I'm a Greenpeacer) "make noise" because that's what our job is. We protest.

Glad to here it defcon, nothing wrong with protest, I'm all for it as long as it is kept peaceful. The mass media loves a good protest and it is an effective way to get a message out if done right.

The seniors here in Florida I think saw their share of protest during the sixties, now they write their state politicians and county commissioners, that works very well also. Over the years the politicians have learned that the residents like their environment and we rarely have any major problems.

    @N_O_Body:

They make too much noise when they would be better off quietly getting on with the job.  The press will never really help them do their jobs, only make them look like extremists when most of them are really not.quote>

Very true my friend, I think it's probably a little different here in Florida as it is pretty hard to make a group of retirees look very extreme, hahahahahaha, wealthy taxpayers, yes, extremist, not really. Although I can remember the Sierra Club protesting here years ago and they came across looking like a circus side show and accomplished very little. I'm a devout environmentalist, I just like to put my energies where they will do the most good. Like you say "getting on with the job."

    Have a great day all.

@BlondTwiggy:  Re: vid.  You really don't want to know.  You could do a search for him as vid or videoman to find his posts, and then you would know.  I don't think it is worth your trouble.

@defcon pilot:  As one GN to another, you are quite right.  Sometimes I miss something when I edit the sense of a sentence.  Call it a senior moment.  You know, Canada and the U.S. are self-sufficient for oil for about five years.  I wonder what would happen if we stopped buying oil on the world market and stuck to home?  (If it wasn't for NAFTA, we are self-sufficient for a much longer period). Flag waving is good for you. We still don't know what you people are doing in Iraq.  We are in Afghanistan killing and being killed while chasing the Taliban and Al Q'aida around the mountains.  Who knows, we might even track down Osama.

@ryanb_sc4:  We should let this matter rest.

N_O_Body: Nicely spiced is kind of vague.  Basically, you take some fries, put something like cayenne powder on them to give them some kick, and sit back and enjoy them.

If we tapped ANWR, we could be self-sufficient on oil for up to eight years.  I know that Texas has a lot of oil still under the ground, and if the feds didn't make everything so difficult, we might actually be pumping some "Texas Tea."

ryanb_sc4: N_O_Body has a point.  Vid's past is not much more than an example of how not to act.

I hate to say it but those might be the smartest words to leave his mouth. I didn't vote for Jeb but we could have done a lot worse and who knows who or what the Democrats will drag out of some swamp for the next primary 6.gif. Jeb is certainly the smartest member of that family.

@brancra et al:  Jeb Bush as I recall, is a hanging governor.  The liberals won't like him, but I think he is doing a good job in Florida.  He is smarter than George, Jr. by a few rows of Christmas trees.  The Dems are probably going to run Hillary Clinton.  She is one tough cookie, and it should be a great race.  [This the view from the safe side of the border.]

    Go, Sabres, Go!

@Voar Tok:  Well if that's what you were thinking, I am sure that's what you got.  Nicely spiced to me means fried with chopped up green onions, bell peppers, a little cumin, cardamom, and black pepper.  Just goes to show "De gustibus non disputandum est" which, liberally translated, means there is no aguing that gus rises in the east.

@sloppet: [autocorrect: s/slat/salt/Done.  The ketchup is on the side.  Float in as much as you want.  We have some nice Kosher dills to go with the vanilla ice cream left over from "The Horn Blows at Midnight".  Want some?

Everyone should note that we have installed a grammar Nazi attachment to the autosystem.

@Skink000: Are you kiddin'? Jeb is a cheat. In fact, he helped George get into office by cutting black liberal voters off the presidential voting list back during the War with Gore (starring Dubya and friends). He may be smart, but he's definitely not a genuis - unless you think along the lines of cunning, despicable genuis. If I were old enough, I'd vote Hillary in '08.

You might want to watch some public television. Frontline is a good one. No canned marketing speak, no indoctrinated speeches, just the facts.

And BTW, if Gore had gotten in, we definitely would not such huge problems to deal with such as Enron, the War, the federal deficit (there was none during Clinton's time in office; Actually, we had a $100 billion surplus), etc. In fact, we probably could have avoided them all.

@N_O_Body: Yes... If we were to tap into local sources (without threatening the environment), I'd say we'd be better off. And, as a bonus, if the Middle East decides to cut trade ties anytime soon, we wouldn't have to worry about "not having oil to go around". Yes, self-sufficiency is the way to go. The same goes for manufacturing, too. I mean, most of our goods are manufactured in China. But if China were to stop manufacturing our goods for us... Well, the effects would definitely be devastating.

Well, so far, the US military hasn't really done anything in Iraq. We've gotten maybe a handful of terrorists, but not much else. In fact, we've made negative progress. Like I said, we're killing our own troops as well as a bunch of civilians. And here's the dumbest part: We've spent almost a trillion dollars on all of it. A trillion dollars to make high-tech war machines, a trillion dollars to make computerized AKs and cruise missiles, a trillion dollars all wasted not only because we aren't even near our objective but also because the extremists just blow 'em all up with their guerilla weapons. It's useless to keep fighting.

    @brancra: Good one! 18.gif

@Voar Tok: ANWR? It might be a plentiful source, but no way. There's a huge amount of wildlife there, and mining out the area would have drastic negative effects on the local ecosystem. 15.gif Now, Texas... Well, there isn't really very much on the issue of wildlife at stake there... I say go ahead. 4.gif

@BlondeTwiggy: Go ahead, but trust us; It's just a waste of time.
