University Phases

You know with the airport, you have a small, medium or large, (landing strip, municipal, internationnal), don't you think it should be the same witht eh university ?! Whether you have a 20 000 ppl city or a 1000 000 ppl city, the university size doesnt change ! How unrealistik !

not sure it be possible to do phases for a Educatinal civic building as they have set capasities and funding bars...better off to make a new reward of a university and have it as a chain...need the first one built to beable to get it...or have some sort of requirement that is higher than the original university

never thought of that...maxis doesn't have much of a variety through buildings anyways. for example, all the police stations are more or less the same!!

The biggest stage of University would be the building we now know... wow great idea Gabz this could be a SYM Productions project... I'll talk it over with the other members...

its funny that yall bring this up cuz i was just thinkin about how great it would be to have a modular university, kinda like the airport packs out there.  i wasnt sure who would be willing to tackle this project, so i didnt post anything, but now that i see yall talkin about it i might as well offer my thoughts and ideas here:

> individual buildings(classrooms and dorms), walkways, etc. to be placed wherever you please

> different on-campus sporting venues(football stadium, baseball fields, basketball arenas)

> some sort of satellite building, like the regional airport tram, that would give the benefits of the university to surrounding cities without having to build a university in every city in the region(thats the most unrealistic thing about the game that bothers me the most)

 

if anyone has any idea who would be interested in doin sumtin please point me in his/her direction

This would awsome because the defalt university is to big fo small cities and to small looking for the big cities. CDI_spy makes a good point just use the same buildings but on smaller lots. Fot the bigger ones you could use some custom bigger ones. This could be a very cool project. If some does make this, good luck and great idea.

there are a couple of lots on the stex that are historical buildings, but basicaly they just cut up the current university.
I would be interested in seeing a modular university put out, but with more buildings and different areas, i goto a university and it doesnt look like anything like the university on sim city!

It's been bothering me that there's no phases. I'll try to find someone who could make a mod, you would have small univ, med univ and large univ because it's really wierd !!
