Hi Muzz, I have created a Logo for your airport, In order to create it I used the Basic Webdings font and the Trebuchet MS font,

    Thanks for that bevanl, I'm thinking I might mount it on a board next to the Terminal 1 sign? Or maybe as a stand alone air-side, or at the front? Anyway, I'll think of something to do with it.

    I've got a problem with lights. I have three free spotlights under the front canopy. But they don't light up at all. They have the name nitelightFspot01 and so on. I would appreciate help on this as the model is very nearly finished, just a few things to touch up and then do the lights and then it can be exported, lotted and transit enabled by Swamper77. If anyone knows what to do then please tell me!

    Anyway, here's a picture of it just now:

    It's a bit too big to find on the render screen so you can't see all of it, but nothing has changed at the front anyway. Comments? Suggestions? Please post 'em!

    Well, it's been rendered. Now I need to lot it and get Swamper77 to do his magic on the transit enabling and then hopefully it's up to the STEX. Sorry, this one has no jobs or anything...unless anyone who knows how would like to help with that. Thank you for your support during this project. After this I'll be taking a little break from BATting for a week or two, but I'll be back with my new idea...

    No, you don't want to know what it is...Oh ok. My idea is a terminal kit. Basically I'll BAT the individual parts for an airport terminal and put them on seperate lots so that you can configure them in anyway you please. I need to know what people think because it would be a large project and I don't want to waste my time doing something that people wouldn't use. The parts would be something like; Main building, concourse straight, concourse diagonal, hexagonal departure hall, hexagonal departure hall diagonal etc, etc... Need some thoughts on this one.

    Muzz what you have here is looking great keep at it, I will defenitlybe watching this thread as you progress with this terminal, Oh and a suggustion on the roof textures I would darken it a tad bit. Keep up the Great work!

    Hi,

    Your terminal looks great, and i think your idea of several lots to make realistic connectable airport bats would be just great.  This would complement Joerg airport pack really nicely.  I think this is what was really missing in his pack.

    Ok, I have tried numerous time to render but it keeps crashing because of this stupid naggy little window saying You virtual memory minimum is too low Shut up!!! So, I think I've disabled it, I'll re-render some day soon, maybe when I'm out for the day or at school. And thanks for your comments, I'll have a shot at the roof colour.

    Thanks for the comments people! So inspiring! Anyway, here's the design for a new terminal I'm doing. Very basic at the moment. No proper textures, ropey putting together, but it'll get there. You can see a really screwed up texture on the road, oops.

    So still a lot of work, but it'll hopefully turn out as planned. Still a lot of re-texturing, re-sixing etc., etc. to do.

    A little update now. I need someone to render the large green terminal at the top of the page. It keeps on crashing my computer and I've tried it loads of times. If you could contact me about that if you wish to do so, ASAP. Thanks! Also, here's a new BAT. I've gone for a modern, canvas style roof, but to me it doesn't really look like an airport terminal. So I need your help to decide what it'll be. I think it looks a bit like a convention centre? Or a museum? Since I am considering diversifying, I would like to know. It really is up to you. Tell me what you think this should be:

    Interesting shape! I'd love to see a little more details... Both museum and convention center are ok. Why not a concert hall, or a modern city hall, or even a big library? Or a mix between all three!

    If I really have to choose, lets say, go for the city hall! Good luck

    Now for the main reason I posted that new terminal looks fimilar. 2.gif  I like the idea of a new convention center since there are only two other custom ones to plop in a city it gets tiring seeing the same buildings in every city/town. One suggustion on the Convention center tone the roof down a bit rendering in gmax tends to lighten up the textures. Keep up the great work!

    That kinda looks like the joint piece between airport terminal arms, except that it looks like those other 3 corners are closed off.  It would work well for anything cause it looks so good.

    It's an excellent shape, whether it ends up a convention center or an airport, though I'm a bit biased toward airports...

    I'm looking forward to seeing this one develop, keep up the great work...

    I'm having trouble getting the textures to TEOM to render the terminal, so until I figure out a way, that is on pause. Thanks for the comments, here is something new I've started a new terminal with a bus station!

    Try sending the textures individually. Anyways, there's a 90% chance that I'm getting a new PC tomorrow (Athlon 64 3500+, 1GB DDR RAM), so if you want to get it to me sometime soon, I'd be able to render it on that beast.

    These are looking great! We need some more terminals in the game.

    these look pretty good, especially the terminal with the glass roof!  can't wait for it to appear on the stex... anyways, the new terminal w/ bus stop looks good... are you going to keep the green colour? lol  keep up the good work

    Thanks for the comments! I've got something to show now. Please note that I did NOT do these meshes, I downloaded them from a 3D meshes site. I also have downloaded a B737. But I call this scene the A340 push-back.

    It is intended for an airport prop pack that will have (hopefully) planes, ground equipment and things like that.

    did you ever finish this? because it looks stunning, you could always email someone so they can render it. I'd be happy to help. i would email you the SC4 file back so you could put it into the lot editor and upload it onto the STEX. just an idea...
