Does Swampers Support File keep SWAP from making you city crash?

HMMMMM,

I never thought of that. I had an airport built with the simwings pack, then later downloaded Swamper's file. When I would load my city with the airport only, it would crash to airport. I hadn't really built much, so I just went ahead and deleted the city and started over. I still have Swamper's file, but it no longer crashes. Just at the time I never connected the dots.

Maybe, Swamper's file has to be added before you start building your airport, which could explain why the game no longer crashed after I deleted the city.

I don't think that's what the support file is for.  I think it's to allow terminals from different airport packs to be used in the same city without provoking a crash.  The SWAP on the STEX has been updated and the crash issue has been corrected, but I'm pretty sure it doesn't fix existing cities.  I deleted my airport city and made a new airport, and it doesn't crash.

@GrandCentralParkway: That is exactly what is for 29.gif It won't fix existing cities due to how the game stores various data in the simcity.cfg file and the city files. My Seaport Support file works in a similar manner. The cargo terminal that is part of Joerg's Airport Pack (which Thalassicus updated) is actually a seaport. Thalassicus' update of Joerg's Airport Pack is part of the SimWings Airport Pack.

@Alexzero: You need to download the SWAP again to get the updated files. I would also recommend downloading my Seaport Support file if you plan to use seaports other than the game's default one. See response to GrandCentralParkway regarding the cargo terminal ^

I've tried downloading a couple of airports off the STEX, (specifically Simgoober's heliport, and a seaplane port). I picked up the support file (the most recent update) at the same time, but while the city seems to run OK after the airport is built, it will cause a crash to the desktop about 90% of the time when I try to load the city in future. I'm not entirely sure why very occasionally it succeeds in loading the city. Demolishing the airport, and saving the city doesn't resolve the crashing problem. Is there some other file I'm missing, because I have everything it says these airports need.
