Monorail & Rail not working - no trains showing

What have i done wrong? I figured the monorail had to be a circuit, so I have it connected. From reading some posts, I may need more stations. I click them and they show some moderate use, but I don't see and animated trains.

The same goes for my rail line. I have 1 passenger and 2 freight stations. One line connects to a city and circles my city (industrial) and the other does the same.???

You will have to turn all of your graphics options up to high. Even then, you may not see trains even though the lines are receiving use. Try using the Free Drive in U-Drive-It to see if you can see the trains at all.

If you really must see the automata, try one of the NAM's enhanced automata plugins.

ok i think i know whats wrong, when you place a monorail/el rail station on a track, you have to re-drag a section of track through the station after yolu have placed it for it to work.

 

just place the stations first in future, makes life easier

to see passenger trains, you have to have at least 2 passengerstations, one at the residential area, and one at the idustrial area. and for the freightstations, they have to be connected to edge of the map. and even then, most of your industrial buildings will still use trucks. if you want them to use  trains, the only neihbour connection they can use must be rail.

I have also no trains. everythings connected the right way, they are all occupied, some even to the max, and still the only train visible is the small green cabin.

and for el-train and monorail and stuff, there is nothing!

I can drive the trains in UDI, but they won't show up on their own, no matter how occupied it is.

it's no matter of plugins, this is what I found out already. they don't even show up when I play sc4+rh at 100% stock...

any ideas?

btw: my graphics are all set on maximum

With NAM there comes some Automata plug-ins. I have installed the one called:

NetworkAddonMod_Automata_Plugin_Automata24.dat

I see my trains a lot.

I'm using standard and i have only trains as mentioned above.

EDIT: well, with radical24 the're is from time to time a chuchu-train showing up. thats all. no mono, no eltrain. in UDI, the others work well.

but this might be also caused by the few inhabitants in my testing city. the're only about 1500 sims living.

I'll give it a try with a bigger town.
