Awesome! I Have lived in Indianapolis since I was 5. It is an awesome city worthy of a CJ. BTW, what boundries are you using for the region? I would love to see the Southport Rd/I-65 area as that is where I live. Good luck on this!

GO COLTS!!!

We can only hope... They've been there enough as loosers to know they don't want to be loosers anymore. Still they have to play Pittsburgh also [:0]..... They've got a hill to climb that's for sure.

By all means! You'd be surprised how many Hoosiers there are.   I'm from Columbus and my wife is from Indianapolis.  I've lived in the Washington, D.C. are for a long time but I still think of myself as a Hoosier at heart.  Also since ST I can't go home and not think of buildings to BAT (which I'll share when I see how you do! 1.gif)   Go Colts!!

Lets only hope. I'm from Indy but I live in Phoenix now. I really miss all the downtown life Indy has compared to here. The weather is another story......19.gif Looks like you've got a good start there, but doesn't Meridian Street run through the circle? What's the other e/w cross street there I canna remember? Ohio? Maybe make the circle an avenue. I wasted lots of gas cruising that thing growing up, but that's another story. Later

No.  My plans, when I start to BAT, are going to do stuff in Washington, D.C. b/c as someone who's new at it I want to do what I can see.  But Indianapolis has a lot of beautiful buildings, including it's Union Station, that I think would make great BAT subjects.

Some inspiration for you.  Indy is a great city.  The skyline itself is not overwhelming but once you get into the city, you can get a great feel for it's beauty and character.  If you can do a nice replica, it will be one of the better city journals out there.  Quick Trivia.......Indianapolis is only second to Washington DC on the number of monuments it has.  If you want, I can put up some more pictures.  Another great midwestern city to do would be Cincinnati.

Just a heads-up: that building second-from the bottom on creilmann's list (the one at Keystone) is on my BAT list. I went down there a few weeks ago and thought it was really cool.

That's a pretty big baseball stadium in that photo near the RCA Dome.  What team plays in that baseball stadium?

That would be Victory Field.  The AAA Indianapolis Indians play there.  It is consistantly rated the best minor league ballpark in the nation./idealbb/files/706579-Travel_Picture-Indianapolis.jpg

Would that be The Pyramiads?? My  wife pointed it out to me when we visited  family last summer.  After I dropped her off  I drove around it for 30-40 minutes. (That's the moment I knew I was hooked on ST).

That's a good rendition of White River.

The Pyramaids, even though they are way up north will make a great addition.  I had problems finding pictures on the Internet too, even of buildings of Washington, D.C.  That's why I'm glad my wife bought me a digital camera for Christmas. 1.gif  (Now if I can pictures over here w/out risking anyone thinking I'm a terrorist! 17.gif  )

Indianapolis is a beautiful city. If I had the time and skill I would BAT every building there, but unfortunatly I don't so.

You could of done a better job on the circle but oh, well.

I've lived on the south/southeast side for 17 years now. If you have any questions about where streets and other things are,  just ask.  I can't wait to see more pics!

    Start on AUL Tower:

If you are wondering about the pic it is just something that the BAT does, I can't help it, it only looks like that zoomed out and won't in the game.

    Things to do:
    • Change texture color to more greyish blue
    • Add 'wings' at bottom
    • Add top
    • Add entrance
    • Details

    EDIT:

Below is a picture of my downtown. Most of the major roads are in the right relative position, but i was working with a scaled down map.../idealbb/files/Circle1.JPG

This one is of  I-65/I-70 just north of the south split downtown. as you can see this part is lower than the rest of the city. It changes to elevated near where the circle would be if it was moved over.

Below is where Washington St. Splits into Maryland St. One way east (Blue) and Washington One Way west(Red). You can also see Victory Field and the RCA dome Just south.
    /idealbb/files/Washington

Here we have part of the canal downtown with West St.(pink) and Indiana Ave.(Yellow). Ohio St. is just north of Military Park(bottom left)
    /idealbb/files/Canal

Next we have the south downtown area. You can see West St.(Pink). the next st. over is Capitol Ave. (Lt. Blue) Next st. is Illinois St.(Pastel Orange). The Next one is Meridian(Burgundy)which runs through the circle. Madison Ave. is in Red(near the bottom) and you can see it splits into two one ways. Delaware is a One-way north(Blue) and Pennsylvania is a One way south(green). I-70 is in yellow. And finally you can see the Eli Lilly International Headquarters, just north of I-70.
    I hope this can help!/idealbb/files/South

    Hello,
This is very cool. I lived in Bloomington for 23 years. I just moved to Chicago, but will be moving back to Indiana in the summer. My Aunt lives in Broadripple, some distant cousins live in Fishers, my step-sister lives on 36th St almost next door to the Brick Yard, another aunt lives on the White River somewhere and my best friend lives in Camby just off of 465 to the SW. I actaully did some construction jobs for summer work a couple years ago in Indy (New Locker Rooms and Tower @ Warren Central High School complex and the new Giest Elementary on Giest Resevoir in Fishers). So I guess I can say I had a part in building Indianapolis21.gif
What will you use for the brickyard, and IRP? Keep up the nice work.

Krillin: Your city looks good. But , isnt the Eli Lilly International Headquarters ALOT bigger building then what you have ? What did you use for Union Station. Also , what year is it in your city it looks as if you dont have the Bank 1 or any of the newer buildings.

AK: That AUL Tower looks awesome. Thanks again. That tower will look great in my Indy. 4.gif

I want your opinion on the Brickyard what should I use ? I havent found any race tracks or anything. I found a Formula 1 track on STEX.
