rush hour WILL NOT install

Could you please give us a bit more detail as there could be many reasons for why it won't install. Tell us what goes wrong, when it goes wrong,etc.

Are you talking about an error message or what?  If what your getting is an error message saying that there are 0 free bytes left on your hard drive then rush hour will never install.  You need some free space on your hard drive to install it.  If it's not an error message, where is the message coming from?  We really need much more information than your currently providing.

I'm having problems on instaling rh too? When I click instal I get a message: Would you like to abort instalation. When I click No nothing happans, but when I click yes the instalation is aborted........

What to do?...

I'm having a problem after re-installing my RH. It all seems to install OK (no error messages), but whenever I try and load the game, I get a message that says: Please insert the correct CD-ROM, select OK and restart the application I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling but I still get the message...

Hi, Magikn.

Not to try and sound too anal but...

Are you sure you have the second CD in your CD drive and not the first one? The game uses the second one for game play and the first one to install.

The only disk that's in the drive is the RH one. It's the same disk I used before I re-installed simcity 4 & RH. If I put disk 2 of simcity 4 in the drive it loads simcity 4. Seems that despite installing the game, it doesn't actually install.

magikn: i have had that problem too many times. I just finnaly installed sim city 4 yesterday because i was so frustrated with that. first i installed simcity 4 and deleted any mods and lots i had dowloaded. then i updted simcity4 to the latest update. i tried it and it worked. i'm finnaly playing sim city again. hope this helps. Also before when i've gotten the error message i would install simcit 4 wait a few days and then RH,but resently that stoped working.

Tried all of that GjRjEjG. In the end I went out and bought the Deluxe version. I remember reading in another post that RH didn't like Simcity that was from a different region.

My Simcuty 4 was bought in the US when it came out and I bought RH in the UK.

I've had problems installing the Rush Hour expansion CD as well.  I run Windows 98SE, with system tray the only program running, and the disc would not install no matter what I tried.  I was finally able to install only after reconfiguring my startup to load all devices and drivers, then it installs no problems.  Thankfully it will run the game with only the system tray running, though.
