I am doing the same thing, but I am not obsessing over exact buildings until I have developed my large map of the collar counties (obsessing over roads and trains, though!). State should perhaps be an avenue, but it is one way (with bus-only traffic in a few sections). Franklin can stay a one-way regular road. Financial Place, Federal and Plymouth should probably be streets.

I am thinking about median strip rail lines, and the ony thing I can think would work would be to make some sort of high-speed four lane one-way road (the split expressways trick isn't much use). I am beginning to work on median rail stations (side platform, a needed compromise). If I get it to work, I hope you use it at Racine Avenue & The Ike. Good luck!

Thanks for your great suggestions. The Indians would truely be a challenge beyond my abilities. Museum of science and industry would be awesome, but itll take me a while. Im not really trying to recreate the street layout of chicago, more just getting a bunch of buildings from chicago so your city can grow with that kind of flavor.

This will be on hold for a while I am sorry to say though. I am currently really tied up in World of Warcraft lol.

Ive come back to the BAT and Sim City twice after taking a couple months of break previously, so there is no doubt in my mind I will be working on this project in the near future again.

That's great to hear, Adam. We need as many Chicago BATters as we can get!

It's good that you're doing the CNA building, for 2 reasons. 1, it's just a box, so it should be pretty easy for a beginner. 2, the CNA building is essential to a recreation of Chicago, mainly because its red color makes it stick out like a sore thumb.

Good luck! I also have some more Chicago BATs to share, as well as some other cool stuff that technically aren't BATs.
