Instant abandonment from 'no water'

Hi Mayors!

I'm having an issue where buildings become instantly abandoned due to lack of water.  I'm aware you should usually have 6 game months to sort a power/water problem before a building becomes abandoned - but currently I can loose huge parts of my city in a second, without any time to fix the problem! 

Any ideas ?

Are we talking big and long established city and this just started? Or right from the get-go? Do you have any neighborhood deals for water? (In or out.) If you go underground and watch the water pipes while time runs, do some go blue then brown and kind of randomly do that a lot? Is the trouble with Maxis stuff or Custom Content? Or both?

How's your water graph over the past 5 or 10 years? Bouncy and spiky? Or steady as she goes?
