Orlando Transit Growth

Interesting news from my corner of the world: The public transportation network in Greater Orlando is managed by GoLynx, which operates all bus lines and the SunRail. The SunRail is the only commuter train serving Orlando and its metropolitan area. It's a north-south axis with 17 stations, and has just opened its latest extension near my home, between DeBary and DeLand.

Another exciting project is the Sunshine Corridor, which would connect Orlando's main airport (MCO) to Disney World, while linking to the SunRail:

This would be a significant step forward in intermodal transportation for the metropolitan area, focusing on the four cardinal directions. Additionally, this airport is home to Orlando's high-speed rail station, part of America's first high-speed rail line connecting Miami to Orlando, and soon Orlando to Tampa. The passenger volume between this high-speed rail station, MCO airport, Disney World, and the rest of the metropolitan area via SunRail should be substantial, motivating even more projects and expansions.
