A DLL Plugin for SimCity 3000 that adds new cheat codes.

Cheat Name Arguments Description
dotcom             none Adds 1 million simoleans to the city funds.
moolah <number>              Sets the total city funds to the specified value.
SimDate <month> <day> <year> Sets the in-game date to the specified value, e.g. SimDate 1 1 1840.

The moolah cheat argument can be either a positive or negative number, e.g. moolah 2000000 or moolah -100000.
The SimDate cheat has a minimum date of 1 1 0001, but it displays the leading zeros in the year as spaces.

The dotcom cheat is a port of a Maxis developer cheat that was left in the Linux version of SimCity 3000.
The moolah and SimDate cheats are ports of the Maxis developer cheats from SimCity 4.

Oooh!  May have to try this out, experiment a bit...

Questions: With the date cheat, are there be any deleterious effects for setting the calendar to before the year 1900?  Or is it just a case of having to wait a bit longer for any technological advances?

Cori tested this a few years ago using a hex edited city save file, and it appeared to work fine:

Yep. Surprisingly I can plop either Coal or Oil Power Plants. (I'm letting it run with a population of 276 to see if it goes goofy cause of the date change. Tis July, 1493 now and all is well.)

Just given this a bit of test run, and I've noticed an interesting affect.  Ran the "SimDate" cheat in a freshly created city, calendar date changed accordingly, but I noticed that the news ticker started displaying the fluff messages that it usually shows whilst the simulator is running, despite the simulator being paused.  Same thing happened with a random already established city.

Phenomenon doesn't occur with either of the money cheats.

I noticed that as well. It looks like the cSC3City::SetDate command has some side effects when the game is paused, not sure why that is.
