During a New Year's Eve party, me and Sally found ourselves growing attracted to each other and shared an awkward midnight kiss. We remained friends and set each other up with our respective best friends, Marie and Jess. When the we went out, neither Marie or Jess are attracted to me or Sally and instead immediately fell for each other. Soon after, we were engaged.

One night, Sally tearfully calls me to say that her ex, Joe, is getting married. I go to Sally's apartment to comfort her but they end up having sex. I leave the next morning, feeling awkward and filled with regret. Our friendship cools until they have a heated argument at Jess and Marie's wedding reception. I attempt to mend their relationship, but Sally feels that we can no longer be friends.

At a 1988 New Year's Eve party with Jess and Marie, Sally misses ...

Oh wait, this is the plot to When Harry Met Sally. My bad! *:D

Wow, that's amazing story! Thanks for sharing!*:thumb: I was just recently into occasional hооkups so for me it was kinda an inspiration to read all these stories. Good for you! But there are a lot of benefits to have occasional hооkups if you're into it.

since social media has become a cancer, I found this thread while poking around for something reasonably harmless.

I have to leave a lot out due to privacy concerns, my wife would be mortified if the whole harmless story came out. I had seen her a few times, like reading the Bible in the waiting room at a medical facility. I was intrigued, but still smarting from a divorce. She had actually met my ex, so I didn't have to explain myself at all (my ex-wife was spiraling due to meth addiction, and would end up, predictably, in prison.).

One day about 20 years ago, I was sitting at Starbuck's after work, reading the paper and drinking my coffee. She stepped off the bus across the street in her fast food uniform, and basically picked me up lol. We've been married over 18 years. I knew she was perfect when I saw Weird Al CDs on her shelf, and she had a copy of the Constitution in her purse!

“Space is big. You just won’t believe how vastly, hugely, mind-bogglingly big it is. I mean, you may think it’s long way down the road to the chemist’s, but that’s just peanuts to space.”
