How do I assign a lot a filter?

Hello! I would like to assign a lot, specifically I building I downloaded, a filter/category. For example, there are 4 health filter categories: Medical Clinic, Hospital, Medical Center, and Disease Center.

I want to assign a lot the Medical Center Category. I know that the Large Medical Center is actually a Hospital in-game, so I downloaded an even larger medical center to serve as the Medical Center for the game. However, I don't see any way to change it's filter. This may also be because it's just eyecandy (Doesn't actually change anything in-game?)

This should be controlled by the Occupant Groups property. However, the game doesn't have a "Medical Center with Hospital" that you can reference to find the right values. If you want to create a building for this category, my suggestion would be to create a new building in PIM-X using this category, and then copy/paste the Occupant Groups from the new building into whichever building you are modding (you will need to delete the original Occupant Groups property).

With that said, can I quickly ask why you're trying to make this change? As far as I'm aware, there's no advantage to switching your building to this category. (That may be what you meant by eyecandy?)

Is there any chance you're simply looking to increase the capacity and/or coverage of the building? If so, changing the building category won't change the capacity/coverage. Those properties are separate. However, it looks like the building already has a substantially higher capacity and coverage compared to the game's standard hospital, so there shouldn't be any need to mod the building in those areas.

Edit: Re-reading, I guess the other possibility is you're trying to override the original hospital with this new one? There's a way to do that, but in general, it's usually a better idea to leave the game's existing buildings alone and simply give yourself new options rather than overriding the original Maxis buildings.

Where do I download PIM-X? I don't see anything in SC4-PIM to create new buildings.

Would strongly recommend reading the User Guide linked in the description, which will tell you how to create new buildings.

That said, if you just need the Occupant Groups values for the main medical building categories, I've gone ahead and copied the default values out below. You just need to replace the values listed under "Occupant Groups" in the building exemplar with the values of whichever building category you want to use.

    Medical Clinic
    0x00001005,0x00001507,0x00001A02,0x00001513

    Hospital with Helicopter
    0x00001005,0x00001507,0x00001A02,0x00001513,0x0000151A

    Medical Center with Helicopter
    0x00001005,0x00001507,0x0000151C,0x00001917,0x00001928

Keep in mind that this will just reclassify the building. It won't affect gameplay very much, and it won't replace the Maxis Large Medical Center with the building you download (if that's what you're trying to do).
