October the 10th was a big day. It was the 10th anniversary of the premiere of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, a show nostalgic but still fresh, that turns out to be a big and great surprise for so many people, proving that good deep writing, great stories, and lovable characters that evolve during the show, can make even the most mature, serious and manly adults adore those cute little ponies. For some, it was a great show that was a part of the new golden age of cartoons, such as Avatar and Gravity Falls. For others, it was a life changing experience, that allowed them to express themselves, discover new stories and make new friends. Different people, different ideas, all sharing the same show, originally made for little girls but eventually loved by everybody.

Well @Terring, Hope i don't ruin the moment of MLP' anniversary, I just have a good news for you, I have began to make one pony's model,  thought i'm not sure if that pony is your portrait, however i thought you may like to have it in your cities. would be finished in three weeks.

Wow!! The time flies! Congratulations! hehehehe
I have 3 daughters of very different ages and, of course, they had contact and like MLP. I watched some episodes and movies with them and I really find the arc / set of stories very interesting and well written.
The cartoons I enjoyed the most recently were Miraculous Ladybug and Gravity Falls, both for the same reason as MLP: a well-written script to pique the interest of ALL the family and not just "girls" or only "boys"; they manage to be childish without being silly but to make children follow; they manage to attract attention and be interesting for young people and adults with some references that only they understand and with stories that could be part of any superhero film.

You never ruin any moment, @Raymond7cn. You can always make better any moment. I'm looking forward to see what you're working on. At my avatar I have princess Luna, the princess of the night, protector of the dreams, a great example of an atoner (one of the kinds of characters I respect the most), and overall one of my favorite ponies in the series.

@carlosmarcelo, I believe the main reason why MLP, as well as Avatar, Gravity Falls and the 2012 version of TMNT, became so popular and beloved is because they actually respected their audience. They didn't use the insulting "it's just for kids" excuse to slap junk in our face. They gave us everything. Characters, lores, interesting places to explore, adventures, humor, sadness, anger, fear, dark moments, bright moments, hope, lessons. They took risks, they gave us deep stories and character development, they did their best to touch both kids and adults. And they succeed. Besides, as Walt Disney said, adults are only kids grown up.

The purple pony is Twilight Sparkle and the white one is Rarity

So you're creating Rarity? She would have been very happy for that if she was here

Haha, Yes Terring, it's Rarity i made, her chinese name is "珍奇" which means rare, and Twilight Sparkle is "紫悦" which means purple sparkle, it's my son's mistake when i consult him about your portrait. Anyway, i decide to make all of them due to this funny mistake, i will show you a rough model tomorrow.
