Portaco City

This is my first attempt at a city journal playing skylines.  Welcome to Portaco City, a city inspired by Monaco but is by no means meant as a replica.  The challenge is the terrain where the steep rising hills makes it difficult to build but I have managed to get the population up to 12,000 so far.  The city includes a royal palace on a hill overlooking the bay, a colossus statue acting as a sort of welcoming beacon or landmark, a cathedral, an observatory located in the hills and a grand hotel in the downtown area.  In fact the entire downtown district is a tourism district. The third image shows the university with public library and stadium.  I am working on creating an island to locate the waterworks and dock facilities there.  Hope you enjoy the views.

There has been a lot of progress expanding Portaco and two new artificial islands have been created. The first one is being utilized as the main port and water works and the second island is a mix of residential and commercial zoning.  I am very pleased with how it looks and have connected both islands to one another via bridges.

An aerial overview of the entire city as it currently is. The population has risen to 24,000 but as you can see further growth will be difficult due to the mountains which surround the city.
