You need to add more junk. I mean this in a good way. It looks like a good start, hope to see some roads and high ways soon.44.gif

Then, I think I'll have to strongly disagree with Bodom about crossing runways being unrealistic:

Chicago O'Hare

New York JFK

London Heathrow

Madrid Barajas

All are major international airports, and have some sort of crossing runways. It might not be the most effective way of building airports, but it is definitely realistic!

Yes you are right but when most of those airport's were built it was viable to have two crossing over runways both operating at the same time but with the growth with larger ansd faster aircraft this is no longer viable. The current third runway at Heathrow is currentley unusuable and when BAA redevelop Terminals 1, 2 and 3 eventually that runway will disappear from existance.

You can add Sydney (Kingsford Smith) International Airport to that list.three runways, two of which cross. Fortunately there are two parallels, and the one crossing is the shortest runway of the lot (though it was the first to be built!).

Sydney's a fairly old airport - It's been around since at least the 40's, and it's close to the CBD. For travellers this is great, but it's been a real dampener on CBD development (the height limit set by the Civil Aviation Safety Authority is just 330m RL (330m above sea level) This said, they have been known to give the occasional exemption (The Gold Coast's Q1 tower is an example). Sydney's tallest structure of any real significance reaches 328mRL if I recall (Sydney Tower, which is 309m tall, but the ground floor is about 10m above sea level).

Nice job. I may be unique in that I look at the terminals more than the airfield, and I think you could do a little cleaning up there. I believe (and this is simply one opinion) that the SWAP hubs look a little sloppy when right next to each other. Try separating them with connectors.
Also, the power plant looks a little out of place (it may be only temporary, I'm not sure). Otherwise, this looks really good so far, and I like the runway arrangement (strange as it may seem), though if you have a small runway you should provide a general aviation area for those small planes to park.

I like the runways, and the terminal setup... a lot actually

however, the taxiways connecting the terminals to the runways are kinda unrealistic... 2 taxiways, connecting 4 runways for over 20 terminals? I would never ever want to be flying out of that place, the delays would be the death of me!

set up more taxiways between the terminals and the runways and you my friend have a really good airport!44.gif

Nice. Realistic too. Add more runways too. Meaning that you need less open space. I would consider a large parking stricture, like a tall one. And possibly make the concourses taller.

    Nice Work.
