Well, I have some good news.  I finally got my computer back, so it looks like I might get a chance to finish this project after all.  The bad news is that in my computer's absence, the pictures from April to June were deleted.  For all of you techno-nerds out there, the glimmer of hope is that I am taking exceptional care to make sure that the partition of the hard drive that the pictures were stored on is not being used.  Hopefully, in the next week or two, I'll be able to get some software for recovering deleted files.

Anyway, that's the status of things.  Here's to finishing this experiment!

Aargh! The suspense is killing me, even after the experiment reached the black! I found this really inspiring.
I'll have to try this out myself. Good luck getting the pictures back!

Here's the status of everything.  I got some of my stuff back, but the pictures are definitely lost.  I have a buddy that does file recovery, and he said that the pictures are too badly damaged to recover.

So, I'm gonna check to see where Porter Field is (I had to do a system rollback to get my files, so it might have been affected).  Depending on what I find, I'll either continue from there, or start over.
