Man-Eating Nile Crocodiles Caught in Florida

As if Burmese Pythons in the Everglades were not enough.  Florida has more non-native reptiles and amphibians than any other region in the world.  Now it can add the Nile Crocodile.

U.S. customs regulations must be pretty loose when such beasts get admitted to the country in the first place.  Escaped specimens will always breed in if the conditions are right.  Maybe it is time for real estate developers to be stopped from further encroachment on the Everglades.  Who benefits?  Follow the money.

Development in the Everglades is about on the same level is the California developments in the Mesquite bush.  In one case, you can be killed by a horrible beast, in the other immolated in a horrible fire.  Some people are making a serious profit at the expense of putting their clientele at risk.

And going around US customs? Easy. Transport to mexico - pay their customs to not see the animals. Then smuggle on the drug routes. - Finished.

I am sure everyone knows the story of Gonsalves the farmer who had a farm in Mexico.  Every week or so he would bring a donkey loaded with hay across the border and very carefully declare his load of hay.  Later on, he went home.  It took U.S. Customs several years to figure out that
