Hello fellow mayors,

A question about the residential/commercial/industry. I play simcity 4 now for a while and the standard buildings/districts begin to bore. is there any mod to change the look of the buildings/districts?

First off, I would suggest looking for buildings that feel each category.. while the answer is no, you cant add categories, the option you have is to download different lots that can mix up your residential, commercial, and industrial... check some CJs to find out what kind of content you can add to your plugin folder, and of course use it as inspiration to see what you can achieve with it.

I am sure you have discovered by now that the game changes the building style every five Sim-years.  To increase the variety you need to add enough plugins to increase the variety of buildings.  Have a walk through the STEX here, and if you like, also through the LEX at SC4Devotion.  Thousands of choices.

Do be careful, however, and take them in small doses, testing with each add.  Not all of then work well together and may cause the game go crash.

BTW, this assumes you are running SimCity 4 Deluxe at build level 1,1,640 or 1,1,641.
