Hi guys. I'm new to this forum but not on the site. I have a problem that I can't do anything about. When I start new game it looks like in the image below. I can see the UI but everything else is black. I can't see map. Once, the map even blinked in every color of rainbow. I think I tried everything I could think of. I reinstalled the game, deleted every folder related to this game, deactivated mods, deleted mods, changed graphics setting, installed on other drives, running as administrator, and with compatibility with Win7. Every time I get the same error, bug, or whatever this is. I get this on every map. This sh*t happened when I upgraded the game to After Dark. And it run smooth on very high settings.

My specs

Windows 10, 4GB RAM, GeForce 9800GT, AMD Phenom 9550 Quad-Core. The game is installed on SSD drive now.

I apologize about any grammar mistakes, since English is not my primary language.Cities_Skylines_After_Dark.png

I don't know about that particular issue, but by your account you're running an 8 year-old below minimum spec videocard.

Yes I do. Unfortunatly I can't affort new PC or graphics card. But I mentiond, the game was running smooth on highest settings before After Dark DLC.

Maybe they changed something fundamental that your card just can't handle, like a shader setting or something :uhm:

I think you'd be best served by taking this problem to the Paradox forums to try and get an answer from the devs themselves. To me it seems like a videocard/drivers related issue, but that's just from my own experience with this kind of nasty stuff.

I found the solution to this problem. There were similar problems on the official game forum but only one thread had this sollution. Turned out it was DX11 fault. Since my card doesn't support DX11, it can't render well some things. But if I add "-force-d3d9" to the shortcut or the startup options in steam, the game lods as it should and is working well even with mods. I hope that this will help any other players out there, who have black screens like me or similar.
