Parking lot request6

I am sorry about the name of the topic I accidentaly presed enter when I shoudn't have.

Anyway I am here to request a addition to Equinox's NDEX Parking Lots . What I awould like to see is something like a set of 1X1, 2X1, 2X2 (and who knows what else) sized parking lots using the same textures as the above pack. I could do it myself but I don't know how to make those parked cars appear and disapear.

That's it! It's a simple request and I hope someone answers it.

Gmavignier,

It's really simple to have cars appearing and disappearing over time. Just use the following Prop Families: A000003D for commecial car clusters or A000000F for residential car clusters. It doen't matter if you specify the residential car cluster family for commercial lots or vice versa. The commercial car clusters appear during the day, while the residential car clusters appear in the evening/at night.

If you want them to appear 24/7, you could also try and combine the two prop families. I don't know what would happen there, especially if they 'overlap' each other at times.

You will just see both at the same time if they overlap. I have seen it happen at SimGoober's Perkins Restaurant. Yes, I have that much time on my hands at times18.gif

    gmavignier the lot car cluster props you want
    (mentioned
    above by Swamper77) are not far
    from the top of the prop menu in the lot editor
    (Well depending on how many props files you
    have)also the clusters are a mixture of different
    vehicles ranging in numbers from 1 to 5 vehicles 
    with different wealth indications $,$$,$$$,use
    anyone of them.(hope this helps).

    Once again thanks for all the feedback guys. I finally finished my lots but I ran into a small problem.

    I used SC4 tool to transit enable them and it worked but only for roads and not for streets like I had set. Here is a pic to better ilustrate what I am talking about:

    Do you see how my lot (ABOVE) works as a road instead like a street like Jeroni's lot (BELOW)? How do I change that?

    That looks like a texture issue,not a transit enabled issue.

    Go into the exemplar for the lot in Reader and check the line labelled LotConfigPropertyLotObjectData which has its first repetition set to 7 (Transit enabling)

    The repetition you are looking for is Rep 13
     
    13 | Type | Network Connection type (see table1)
     

    Table1:

    0x00000000=Road
    0x00000001=Rail
    0x00000002=Highway
    0x00000003=Street
    0x00000004=Pipe
    0x00000005=PowerPoles
    0x00000006=Avenue
    0x00000007=Subway
    0x00000008=Elevated Rail
    0x00000009=Monorail
    0x0000000A=One-way roads
    0x0000000B=ANT (Dirt Roads)
    0x0000000C=Ground Highway
