Graphical Glitch! (Grey Boxes?)

I recently purchased city skylines, I went crazy with the assets and mods, but when I first launched a map, all the menus were covered in grey boxes, making the game unplayable. There was a box that said "error" and it had some assets on it, so I removed them. Now there is no error box, but there is still the grey boxes!? Please help.

Start disabling mods and assets a half at a time until you narrow down the culprit.

Or start the game with --disablemods --noworkshop

I think those are the commands.  I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong.
