Commercial offices problem

Hello Simtropolis,

 

I have a problem that has to do with Commercial development. 

When I place High-density commercial Zones, all I get are CS§, §§, §§§, or stage 1-4 CO

Even when i have a city of 100k+

This becomes a major problem when my R§§§ buildings become R§

 

Is there a solution to this?

You will find that the requirements for CO$$$ are the same as for I-HT.  Clean environment, all municipal services, and around the CO$$$ zones, very heavy traffic.  Use your desirability display to see what your area looks like with respect to conditions.  100K Sims is not very many for large CO$$$ buildings, and you must not over zone.  There must be enough Sims at the various levels to operate such a building.  Only a few R$$$ will work there.

To see the profile of a building, you have to have successfully loaded the 'extra cheats.dll'.  To get the debug profile of the building that shows the number of possible jobs for each wealth level, activate the query operator (/) then move the cursor over the building (do not click).  There is a lot of data displayed but most of it is meaningful only to the developers.

Remember that only about 15% of your Sims (region wide) can be R$$$.  You don't get a city that contains only board members and CEOs.  Education quotient must be at least 120.
