Hello!

I am having a problem with ploppable japanese rice fields/farms.

I've downloaded one pack from Neko (which appears in the hospital's menu) and another one (i can't recall who've made it or the name of it) that appears in the parks menu.

So, when i plop those, they appear like this (Neko is the one on the left). Can somebody tell me what i am missing?

Thanks :D

Have you tried letting the game run for some time? (until the next season change)

They're seasonal props. They only appear at first when the current ingame season changes.

Unrelated to the OP, but might I ask where I could download it? I remember scouring Simtropolis and SC4Devotion's threads about Japanese mods and I do not recall seeing this in any of the external links provided.

If they are plopable all the better, having to pause and unpause to create very small tracts of farms sometimes gets tiring. :D

I've updated and organized the list of Japanese website at SC4Devotion to be easier to read: Here is it.

The Rice fields are indeed all ploppable from the health menu, very useful addition. They're available at Hide and Seek and are from Neko.

The art list is awesome. I had another list on this site also. I think you find it when you do a download session... It's amazing.

Btw Art, do you have some suggestion (if you use japanese style bats, etc) regarding ploping? Since the names of the buildings come in Japanese, they appear numbered in the "building plop" list, so they are very difficult to use... Does it exist a mod that allows you to plop without the building plop cheat?

Try using "  -l:Japanese " in the game shortcut. If it still doesn't work, try putting this file in your plugins.

As for an alternative to the building plop, you can always try to either make re-lot/re-mod for the landmark/park menus.

Yes, Mydocuments/SC4/plugins is where I've put it. However i tested without that file and it seems to work perfectly so I wonder about the actual usefulness of it.

In any case, I attached the file just in case the l:Japanese didn't work. If both fails, then I don't know how to do it.

Art but that plugin does what? Substitutes the numbers in the building plop for japanese characters? What i would like would be something like adding all my bat's to a folder and being  able to see the images of the bat. Japanese won't do it since i can't understand it xD. I wanted something similar to the landmarks menu...

Well, if i rename the bats, will those work in game?

What do you mean by numbers? A picture would help a lot.

Yeah, that's because the game's original font can't render Japanese characters at all.

Try one of the solutions I gave you. (the file or -l:Japanese in the game shortcut) That's what I use to have the Japanese characters showing.

Yes Art, but that won't work since i won't be able to distinguish between the building names (since they are in japanese xD). Thanks anyway, probably a solution doesn't exist

Yeah, apart from modding every one of them I don't think an easy solution exist. ;)
