I need help from window mode

Hi all,

Been years since I've been here but I still play SC4 once in awhile.

I'm now stuck in a window mode and I can't find how to make the screen full again.

How do I get back into full screen mode?

Do I have to edit the registry?

 

Oh, BTW, I'm still running Windows XP.

Hi there,

 

Sure, this can be done using a custom shortcut parameter.

 

In the properties of your game's shortcut, you'll need to go to the "Target" box. Then after the installation path, add a space followed by -f

 

E.g.

 

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Maxis\SimCity 4 Deluxe\Apps\SimCity 4.exe" -f

 

Using this shortcut, the game should then start in full screen (as opposed to -w which enables windowed mode again).

 

 

It's also possible to add other commands, including to set a custom resolution, skip the into sequence, and choose between 3 rendering modes.

Just add a space between each one as required. This article on SC4D has a handy list explaining what they do.
