Game Crash when changing the building set

Hello.
Whenever I try to change the building set (Euro, Houston...) SC4 crashes. It didn't always do this, so I'm assuming it's because of a MOD I downloaded. It's been like this for a while so I just stopped controling the building set. If anybody knows what I could do to fix this it'd be much appreciated. If not, it's all good, I'll just you know, keep on keein on.

Well, I don't know of any specific mod that would cause that. Odds are it's one you recently installed. However, here's the procedure for figuring it out for yourself:

1. Remove all of your plug-ins (that's right, the whole folder)
2. See if the problem occurs.
3. If it does, then you will probably need to reinstall the game.
4. If it doesn't, replace half of your plug-ins.
5. See if the problem occurs.
6. If it does, then it is one of the plug-ins you just put back in. Go to 9.
7. If it doesn't, replace half of the remaining plug-ins.
8. Go to 5.
9. Remove half of the plug-ins you just put back in.
10. See if the problem occurs.
11. If it does, go to 9.
12. If it doesn't, start putting the remaining plug-ins in one by one. After each one, see if the problem occurs. Once it does, you've found your culprit.

I would recommend starting with the most recently installed plug-ins, as it is most likely your problem lies there.

Yes, I agree... Remove all your plugins because 90% of the time, when your computer crashes, it is because of a bad plugin or plugins interacting badly with each other.

i got the same problem.

is it possible to just avoid the problem by removeing the growable plugins?
i mean, the building style just has influence on the growable buildings and not on the ploppables.
just thinking of this idea because my game only chrashes on selecting building styles (and even here only on selecting a specific, nothing happens while playing with all styles together) and my ploppables don't cause a gamecrash...

Hello badman,

Make sure you are not using an older version of the Abandonment Dilapidation Modd.  The older version causes this. Check for the last updated version here: Abandonment Dilapidation Modd 1.2

Also check for the Urban Housing Mod, I think that also might be it.
