I have no demand pretty much region wide right now.

I have 4 cities, 2 with 2 naboring cities, 2 with only 1 naboring city.

I have regionwide pop of 380k

i have lost all demand across the board, R$, R$$, R$$$ and commercial likewise is all atleast -50%, people are leaving.

my tax rates are betwen 7-9% (dirty and manufacturing industry is at 20%) in all my cities, highest for low income and lowest for high income.

So what gives?

One thing that i was considering may be the culprit is the fact that i have not zoned at all for farms yet (everything is urban) and i have very little (maybe about 2000 total) dirty and manufacturing jobs as i have taxed them out of 3 out of the 4 cities. All other industry is high tech, and that is also in the negative demand now.

help plz.

ahajmano:  Sounds like you need most of the amenities, mass transit, parks, landmarks, and civic services.  You may have all or part of these things but unless you tell us we won't have much of an idea how to help.

By no demand do you mean exactly zero? If that's the case, you've hit your demand caps and you need to start plopping your rewards.

If your demand is negative, then that's a different story.

Let us know which it is.

my demand is all in the negative, atleast 50% negative.

i checked my caps using the query mod, they are all at 0%-5%

i would think he would have to zone atleast more manufactering as these require middle income ppl. and some low wealth too. i might be wrong though.

Very true. As undesirable as dirty industry is, you need it. Your cities (just like real life cities) need all wealth levels of Sims. Try adding one more city and make it all dirty and manufacturing industry.

Maybe you should try raising the ID to 20% and try it, nothing I can say will change your mind.  Sims also work in commercial zones.

EDIT: I also use neighborhood regions, so the sims get jobs in adjacent cities.

    Returning to the original questioner:

Check your population by age, education by age and desireability displays. You may have aged your city out, so that it has become static.

Try putting in some 1 x 1 single-occupancy sub-divisions and some single-occupancy commerial services for them to work in.

    thanks for your help.

    I have a question:

If you have not even come close to your demand cap, you have well funded services (hospital, edu, police). And there are plenty of high desirablility zones not being developed, WHAT is the reason for low demand (especialy in a city under 200k)

    WHat do these people want?

I made an industrial city but even this city has now negative industrial demand at about 20,000 jobs. I have 20+ connections and at 15% demand cap. I just seem to keep hitting these damn negative demands.
