I love Dev's and Superstars avatars, But what of the rules? I prefer to keep my avatar, non-animated. Also if we enter should we or could we, be allowed to post it's original size? Scipio above already did it, but if everyone does it, we will need to clarify size limit, for close-ups and keep in mind; it will cause a slow down of this thread loading.

Also, My avatar has my custom airlock in it. cannot post the larger size, since it's part of a pack going on Turbo Squid.

 

 

EDIT: Almost forgot; I would love to enter an avatar contest.

Just thought, I might make a point:

If you have read the forum rules authored by Dirk; you will notice that image sigs are not outlawed, but also not promoted or popular. If we all would concentrate on Avatars for our Illustrated personaltiies and sigs for text only; the forums would run more smoothly.

 

Dev: I love your sig the way it is. Text is more interesting to read and actually gives a better profile of the person it belongs to.

 

I enjoy reading the creative quotes below us all. It's what makes me want to know more about you all at ST.

 

So instead; Have a sig quotes contest.

 

EDIT: hmmm,  most funny quote, wisest, most profound, scariest quote, etc.

 

Second EDIT: A sig contest wiith images will promote others to using images. Went back to find the rule I mentioned above on the omnibus rule 16, here's the link

Really! How unthoughtful of me. Mdz1001, this is really a great contest and should, keep on keepin' on.

 

The signature contest would also be a great idea, just not about the images in them.

I guess I should clear this all up. This contest is for avatars only after in the first contest, some people that didn't have sig pics complained that those who do had sig pics had an unfair advantage in the contest. So I will disregard Dev's sig as well as anyone else who enters sig pics. Also, ert90 ran a signature contest a while ago which didn't gain much popularity, which I allowed when he PMed me.

I also thank frndofyaweh for pointing out a rule that I didn't even know of about how sig pics are discouraged.

 

frndofyaweh and mambomumba: I need to know if you are entering or not.

 

Otherwise, continue those entries. The contest will close on Friday, December 23rd, and since I am now a moderator, I can now close the thread to lock the entries in.

Are there criteria on which we will be judged?? If not, or if not made public, then perhaps you could consider releasing it the next time; it's good to know what elements to incorporate into our avatars.
