Hi, i've searched around for anyone else who may be experiencing the same problem but not found anyone else. I can't seem to scroll through the categories. (Parks, Police, Power, Etc...) I know that there is more objects in some of my categories, because i have downloaded a number of them from the Steam Workshop and i am able to use some of them up to the point of having to scroll along the categories.

I'm at a loss for what to do really, any help would be much appreciated, thankyou

As far as I can tell scrolling doesn't work on those menus (would love if it did) but there's an arrow at each end and you use those to click back and forth through the menu.

Ah, okay! I have some trouble with that sometimes too. It seems like that button might be just a little pickier than it should be and eventually it works. I'm sure you probably tried opening and closing the menu.

I am having the same problem.  Every once in a while I can get the arrows to scroll over one or two spots but that is it.  Most of the time it won't move a bit.  Hopefully this is a glitch and not my computer.

I have the same problem, causes great frustration!  I LOVE the game but it is very rough around the edges and the UI is really bad- everything is far too small- info boxes, text, directional arrows, poor colour coding in the various info panels too. I really struggle to use this important element of the game. SimCity 2013 UI looks so much more polished and professional by comparison- much easier to use and to access and read information panels. Skylines has got so much right, pity about this badly designed and poorly executed fundamental element of the game.

It might just be my imagination but it seems like it's easier to scroll after I've selected one of the assets than it is if I don't.

@mutton noir, you sure won't hear any argument on me about the UI. While I very much appreciate they've tried to keep it out of the way as much as possible, the text is way too small and some areas don't seem to have a large enough area to click on.

I found the solution to this, by myself and by accident. I also searched like mad to no avail but eventually I realized this.

Here's what you need to do:

Whenever the button stops working, rotate the camera around a bit, select the last item in the menu that you can see, and then zoom in to maximum.

You should now be able to scroll again. Now, after you've scrolled, you'll notice that if you want to scroll back to the beggining, its VERY SLOW (bugged). Click on the first asset in the list, and repeat the above process again.

Zooming seems to be what does it though, although it can still get stuck, but usually the combo of these solutions fixes it for me.

I just found another, *cough* better solution.

It appears that if you hover over the arrow and scroll with mouse wheel, it works! :D woo

OOPS. I could have sworn I pressed EDIT, sorry.

I'll definitely have to try scrolling with the mouse wheel, then.

I also noticed something extremely interesting, which explains why it works better when zoomed in. I got a new video card and now clicking through the menu is the easiest thing ever.
