High unemployment

Allright something weird happenend in my 76K population city, after I had built the hadron collider. The populations education went trough the roof. allright thats fine, it does cause prolems with new factories not having low educated workers. That is also fine, since high educated workers do work in factories, but what is weird is that I have an unemployment rate of 43%. That was always around 5%

The numbers:

Total population: 76.221

Number of jobs: 40.776

People employed: 36.787 =47%

Unemployed: 43% =32.775

Children: 5%

Teens: 13%

Young adults: 21%

Adults: 40%

Seniors: 21%

I thought young adults and adults are your workforce, but apparently 90% of my population needs a job, while only 61% are adults or young adults.

Seems like I educate baby's and by the time they are teens they already are smart enough to work.

I hope collosal makes some changes in the education system. Not everybody is smart enough to graduate from university. And it leaves you with a more diversified workforce.

Why are you so sure that unemployed are made up out of all the previously mentioned Cim types.

Unemployed may simply be Young adults + Adults+Teens. And of them 43% are employed and 47% are Unemployed.

It was said by the developers, if they don't go to school, they will work.

And the 10% remaining are maybe being educated. They said that every age Cim can go into schools.

I actually noticed something similar when I built the Hadron Collider in my 80,000 inhabitatant city. After zoning office areas for hours and hours, I gave up. There seems to be no end to it.

    I got it now.

The hadron collider totally removes the need for education. Except maybe for land value, did not test this yet. The total number of students dropped to zero, 18.000 students graduated and immediately moved to the work force. Now the workers consist of teens, young adults and adults, which I thought would be young adults and adults. The unemployment rate only consist out of these three groups as long as they do not go to school, which they are not because of zero students.

After a huge campaign of building offices the unemployment is now 6%, with 70K population and 46K workers.
