Just noticed "Mods & Tools" is spelled with a double-d under CitiesXL. Which I assume is in error.

Some people call it 'mod', and some call it 'modd'. I prefer 'mod' as well, but to be honest, does it matter? It's not an official word, and therefore there's no official way to spell it. I guess you just wanted to alert the mods (pun intended) on this problem, but since nothing has happened for years, I'm afraid nothing will happen now either. We'll just have to let this one slide. ;)

Indeed no biggy to me :P. It merely stood out to me as I was checking if there was a CS section up yet, to have it spelled as "mods" under SC4 and "modds" under Cities XL. If it's been like that for years already though, then indeed I doubt it'd change xD.

IIRC, back in the olden days we had groups called the "Modd Squad" and "BATT Squad".  It's probably just a relic from then.

I'm somewhat of a grammar Nazi, so that bothered me for quite some time. I usually try not to say anything about that stuff, though :P people tend to just get annoyed with me.

    "You say p-oh-tat-oh, and I say p-ah-tahtah"

    "You say t-oh-mate-oh, and I say t-ah-matah'

    "p-ah-tahtah, p-oh-tat-oh!  t-ah-matah, t-oh-mah-t-oh"

"Let's call the whole thing Orff".

Novelty song of some years back.

I, too, am something of a grammar Nazi, but only when it affects the meaning of the context.  One of my pet peeves is the misuse of the preposition to, when the meaning intended is the adverb too.  With English particularly, and some other languages as well, you not only have to watch out for homonyms but pronunciation.

For example, if you are in a restaurant in Quebec and you want fries with gravy and cheese curds (poutine) a slight mispronunciation will get you a working girl instead (putain).

Agreed. One of my major pet peeves is when use the wrong "your" or "there". Hate that.
