there are several mods you can use to make the capasity of highways increase

 

I personelly use the NAM...found on the front page, in the middle, just scroll down...

Thanks, but I already downloaded the NAM. I guess I didn't post my question correctly. It is not capacity exactly that I am worried about, I just want to know if there are avenues and freeways with more lanes, so that it looks more like areas around where I live.

all sort of puzzle piece to the NAM  (try the tab button) as for different size highways...been ppl working on all sort of those  (not sure if any of them are functional, but there are non trasint enabled ones floating around the site from 1wide, and i believe up to 6 wide  think their just eye candy though...is the sort of thing your looking for ?

All I want it for is for eye candy. I already have the capacity I need, I just think that more lanes would look better.

No unfortunatley I don't think there is a highway with more lanes for eye candy or not alougth puzzle pieses provide a good possible alternative.

Hi! Welcome to simtropolis. Now, while there isn't an actual mod that makes the highways larger, there are some mods which do simular things.

There is a mod by lakeyboy, which means you can add half a highway to each side of an existing highway, and thus making it larger. Take a look here.

Or theres the Rural Highway Mod, which is an entirely new highway. It is much more flexible, and thus you can keep adding more pieces to it to make it bigger. Find that here.

So while there aren't any mods that perfectly match your request there are a few similar, which you might also enjoy. Good luck to you and I hope I helped!
