Theme Hospital offered for free on Origin

For a short time, Theme Hospital, one of the most iconic business simulatorgames of the late 90'ies, is offered for free on Origin. Once added to your account, the game is yours forever to play.

 

Theme hospital was made by the british game-developer Bullfrog, creator of many successfully sims and strategical games, like Theme Park, the Populous series and the Dungeon Keeper series. The games tasks players with designing and managing a hospital, and treating patients with odd diseases, like Spare Ribs (extra rib growth), King complex (the uncontrollable desire to impersonate Elvis and who can forget the Bloaty Head(giant oversized heads)? "Doctor required in inflator room..." "No you can't quit, to become a game-developer...."

 

Sadly, Bullfrog was bought up by Evil Arts and closed down in 2001.

You should check out CorsixTH, an open source reimplentation of TH, with level editor, free mode, and HD graphics. Should work with both GOG and Origin, besides the legitimate cd version...

It *still* won't run on my latest PC.  The cmd window pops up briefly saying something about "blah blah too fast" then it disappears.

Thats odd, the free Origin version runs Dosbox fine on my Win7 computer, I haven't had any problems so far. Are you using the original disks?

for me the original runs fine in dosbox and this corixth thing runs perfectly fine aswell

 

EDIT: but it should be finetuned. ok it's just v0.4 but in free play, you're overrun by patients like it was the zombie apocalypse
