I've been trying to add mods to my game (Mac SC5). I've extracted and placed into the sc data section. I've saved a game and exited. I'm using unarchiver to extract the files. They aren't showing up on my game

You need to put the mods in the proper folder.

Most go into the SimCityData folder, the rest go into the SimCityUserData.

You find these folders by going into Finder > Applications.

Right click on Simcity 2013

Click "Show Package Contents"

From there Contents Folder > Resources > SimCityData (or SimCityUserData).

Also make sure to follow the instructions on the mod page.

I don't know what i am doing wrong, but the mods don't seem to be working correctly. all roads appear to be slightly elevated with a brick wall below them, and the roads sometimes disappear when i construct (half the road doesnt show). also some region roads aren't connecting. I can't find bridges or elevate highways using the M key. or i can't find freeway connections/junctions

I downloaded the Akar, Project Orion, Orions belt and Udon

I see your using project orion

there is your problem right there, because your building outside the original 2k boundary, roads don't conform to the terrain,..the joy's of playing a game with small map areas.

i'm sure someone will come along with a suggestion on ways to get the road to follow the contour of the terrain,

build your roads small stretches at the time, you have to think like this everytime the terrain raises slightly thats were you gonna bend up the road due to the slope of the terrain.

alternatively you could use another method wich is described here
