Started back playing again...but having been checking in from time to time on the new buildings etc coming out. The question I have today...is there anyway to categorize the buildings so they show up under their own categories instead of just lumped in under Fire, Police, Medical, other buildings? I'd like to have all hotels under a category, banks under another, gas stations under another, grocery stores under yet another and restaurants under another and so on. Is this possible so it isn't a long clogged mess under just one category?

Nope. At least as far as I know. If I could separate things that way I would do that since I have way too much stuff haha.

 

I believe you can modify the category where the plop will appear, if you are concerned you have too much stuff in one place like plopables or parks. So you can put speficic plops in less crowded categories like police and hospitals even though they are not provide these services at all. How I do not know.

Take a look at Daely's Menu system (DAMN).  I believe with some work you can do what you want.  I don't use it, but then I don't have a very long set of menus.  I avoid most ploppables, and most growables don't make menu items.

DAMN menu mod will allow you to use pop-up news windows to sort your menu items.  You can also change the order of items in your menus by adjusting a value with the Reader tool.
