Underground Rail Lines

I'm trying to run underground rail lines under parts of a city and am trying to learn the NAM components.  I've searched on here, but haven't found an answer to a question like this.

.

Here's what I'm trying to do:  There's some in-line city tiles I'd like to run a railroad line under.  3 road crossings will be perpendicular to the rail (see pic).  The rest of the tiles are the default "grass texture".

.

I found the :Level to Underground"  piece(s) and aligned them on either ends correctly but I can't find anything for "Under Grass" (...or the default grass texture).  There's all kinds of pieces for under roads, avenues, trams, etc., but nothing for grass.  How do you guys do this...or is it even possible without doing the digger lots and crossing the rail with overhead crossings?  I'd rather not go that route.

.

I had the rail running overhead with the NAM overhead rail pieces, but I thought I'd try the underground route.  I hope you understand what I mean

.

Thanks in advance...

.

If you look in the rail menu, you should find some underground rail pieces with appropriate surface textures.

I found the GRASS option.  It's not the default Maxis grass, but it will do.  Thanks again...

Okay, they work fine, but I did notice that if there isn't a small WHITE "bar" on either side of the street, road, ave., etc. crossing that it hasn't been done correctly.  Did anyone else ever notice that?

Can you post an image of what you mean by this small white bar? Is this something with the default textures, I've just run a section of U-Rail and do not get any white. I've a custom mod for changing all the Maxis White however, so I may not be seeing what you are.

Do you like custom textures, but don't like all the work involved creating them?, take a look at the Texture Automation options here. Change the look and feel of your transit networks, with the minimum of effort, for example customised versions of my Sidewalk NAM (SWN) and Terrain Grass NAM (TGN) mods, and much more besides.

Instead of an image, here's what it is:

When I plop 2 "underground rail ramps" (see pic above) under a, let's say road, and place the filler piece of "rail and road" on top, there is a short, white bar on either edge of the road inline with the rail. I think it's there to let you know you have a good "connection". When I look over my underground ramps and rail layouts in a city, if I don't see the white bars, I know I didn't put the correct filler in there.

I think that "white bar" is just the sidewalk texture. FLUPs are mainly intended to be used in urban environments where there's a lot of concrete already.

To help identify U-Rail they all have twin streetlights, you can also click the "?" and it will show the rail paths under roads/etc when you hover over the road with the mouse.

Actually is that Moonlights Super Light Asphalt sidewalks you are using (it's some kind of Asphalt)? for that which will make your U-Rail match your sidewalks, looking again the white concrete is just the default Maxis texture used for all NAM pieces.
