space center worker problem

my space center great work cannot get 300 workers even though i have something like 1000+ unemployment. no matter how many unemployment and mass transit i have i cannot get the workers to the great work. did i do something wrong?

Do you have a lot of regional traffic? If you don't, have you tried building more residential buildings to see if that somehow fixes the problem?

It sounds like you're on one of the maps that are broken for the space center.  The only workaround for it is to install a regional road mod to make a new regional road connection to the great works.  It can be tricky to get it to connect just right and you must be next to it in order to reach it, otherwise it will be out of view and unreachable.

 

Almost half of the maps have this bug.

 

If you city can't reach the great works site, hopefully you can claim a nearby city that can make the connection.
