New user and mod

Hi, i'm a new gamer of sim city 4 deluxe edition. I never played this game until now. I see there are many mod for the gam, but i don't know what is very essential to install. Is there anyone who can help me? Sorry for my english, i'm italian

 

PS: I have just downloaded NAM

NAM is a good place to start.  Once you get used to NAM, I would also suggest downloading RTMT (road top mass transit).  If you also like using the farm lots in SC4 Deluxe, you can take a look at downloading SPAM which greatly enhances the farms in the game.  Also download the Opera house fix.  The opera house is unusable without this fix.  You can search the STEX with the word 'fix' and see if you need any of Mods that come up.

 

P.S.  If you installed your game from CD, make sure you apply all the appropriate patches to get your game up to version 1.1.640.0.  If you downloaded if from Steam (or other gaming site), then it should be already fully patched.)
