Probably has been asked already and if so my apologies...How about road/Avenue tunnels that can turn while underground. Meaning if my sim enters a tunnel northbound, lets have the exit heading east. maybe have the tunnel entrance connect to a "subway" like underground tubing??? PS Great Work Team

30 degrees diagonal roads

I would like to request 30degrees diagonal pieces as an addition to the future NAM's FAR set.

Hope this pic may help:

I think this could be modelled the same way the other pieces of the FAR were, though i'm not sure...

Also, may I request a sidewalk mod for FAR pieces?It would be great to have it, especially if you want to use FAR pieces in an urban setting.

Three more additional FAR pieces are being worked on.  Due to the limitations of Euclidean geometry, a 30° puzzle piece that can be tiled is actually impossible.  The four FAR pieces, their angles, and their sizes are as follows; the number identifying the FAR piece is also the cotangent of its angle:

FAR-1.5    33.69°    (3x3)

FAR-2        26.57°   (2x2)

FAR-3        18.43°   (3x2)    (currently exists in the NAM)

FAR-6          9.46°   (6x2)

As with the FAR-3, the complements of these pieces (that is, 90° minus their angle) are also being implemented.

Thanks to everyone, looking theser things up right away...Also would like to see More road/ave/oneway under El Train/Monorail/Highway pieces. Love the ones in the older NAMs just looking for a bit more variety. Again thanks for the great work, may SimCity4 live forever

The examples you give should all be present in the basic game, just by dragging one network over or under another.  Are there any that don't work for you?

Here are some more requests:

1) redo the pillars on the freeway interchanges as they look to chunky and round

2) redo the pillars on elevated highways as they look kind of boxy. justslightly rounder.

3) some more interchanges would be nice.

4) possible interchages for two-tiered freeways.

Out of curiosity, for T-RAM in road, would an override be possible? Or T-RAM on highway (both elevated and ground with transitions to roads, avenues, etc.) Currently, it is entirely puzzle based and that can be an annoyance when you want to put down a lot of tracks.

My third request would be a double decker for monorail over road, much like elevated train over road.

Pretty sure it's been requested, but is there anyway to make modular network pieces like curved highway or diagonal oneways to make curved bridges?   z1, what I was asking for above are more pieces similar to the el rail over road.   Maybe some of these with monorail, or Highway on top, and maybe oneways on bottom.   Thanks for the concern though.

I've got a bridge request since custom bridges are usualy made for the NAM.

You think a two lane road bridge can be made like that for simcity4? Same design could be used for one way and avenue i guess as well.

I've got one. The Avenue railroad crossings are stunningly ugly...instead of gates and crossbucks, it has these things that look like pinwheels. I guess this can be corrected by sticking a railroad crossing thing in the median, so when a train comes down, the two gates come down on either side.

Heres a RHW Optional Plugin Request:

An optional NAM mod to completely eliminate all the Maxis highway interchanges and ramp pieces, and modify the ground and elevated maxis highway networks, to when dragged be a 2-tile RHW-4 with the sides closer togethere and a jersey barrier in the middle. It could also be used to drag wider RHW's. just an idea

how about double-decker streets, such as Whacker/Lower Whacker drive in Chicago? Also: making it visible when placed near or on a ledged-coastline...

Being a Chicago native myself, I would love to see us be able to make something like Wacker Drive.  Unfortunately, a fundamental game limitation makes this impossible.  If you have paths for the same type of vehicle going in the same direction, where the paths differ only by height, the vehicles will jump unpredictably from one level to another.  So you can use El Rail over Road to construct Chicago's Loop (two different networks), but you can't make a double-decker Wacker Drive that runs just a few blocks away.

It's too bad, because there are a whole set of streets that run under downtown Chicago.  But because they run under other streets, we can't build them.

Hello I have 1 problem when building my city I made Avenue GLR all over my central city but after when I was trying to put monorail on top of it I realize its impossible, same problem with simple rail road, maybe i just missed something? There is no puzzle pieces with monorail or rail road on top of GLR. Anyway would be nice to see that problem fixed soon. Thanks

z1: Wouldn't it be possible to take the El rail over road and convert that into a street and make it transit enabled for cars or take the elevated roads and apply the same technology that created the El rail over road pieces to the El road pieces do that it could be a Double-Decker street/road? I mean: if you can create the El rail over road pieces, why not be able to create El road over road pieces?

EDIT: wu-one: check the raised monorail and Elevated rail(the regular rail) pieces, those go over El highways and other El stuff, there is bound to be a piece that goes over glr.
