I haven't been following this website and I haven't played SC13 in a very long time.

So.... what's the progress on somebody figuring out how to make cities bigger? Or a way to make city borders to touch each other?

If there is already a topic about this, please direct me to it. If not then answer me lol

The bigger cities mod (for lack of better term) is called Project Orion. It can be downloaded here:

There, you can find all of the information you need regarding it :). Hope I helped!

That's a wonderful mod, but there are some things wrong with it.

    1) You can only build on the north and east side of a city. If you want to zone outside of the north and east side you have to plop down buildings, which I don't like. You can build roads outside the boundaries, but that's it.

2 ) Zone coverage is glitched. If you place a park within the boundaries the coverage zone will be placed  in some random place.

So... knowing this I think I'm going to wait until the creators fix all of the problems with the mod.

Yes, these problems are known and SUGC Team 1 is currently working to fix them. The displacement of park coverage and whatnot on the map, however, does not affect where the park coverage actually is. It is still in the same place. It just appears in a different spot on the map :).

So is there hope that we will be able to build within the entire border instead of just part of it?

You can build on the entire border zone, it's just the actual zone is offset. Umm, so, the space you've "lost" on the south and west, is continued on past the border, (as part of the city,) on the north and east side. Cities can be up to 2*2 (4x) as big actually. I'm not sure about zoning past there, although zoning... is frankly not a good idea outside the border. Also all the "city data" is represented on the normal city plot, and represents exactly your entire building space. Umm, I hope the description gets updated so they mention that.. It's rather confusing those 2 concepts to most players, (as I was at first.)

    - Er, don't take my word for any of that, though.. I'm still pretty new to the mod
