Simcity 4 Update problem

I need to help me update my game, my night lights are not in buildings was downloaded and when I download the EP1 update tells me: Old file not found. However, a file with the same name was found. No update done since file contents do not match. 

Help me with this situation

You need to update with the correct SKU version for the region that matches your install cd, otherwise it will not find the file it was expecting to and give you that error. Beware that many copies were sold with a region that does not match the country of purchase, if in doubt try them all until one works and you'll know which SKU you have.

And if you bought the game on Origin be aware that it is not compatible with the patches.  Wouldn't advise using the Origin game.

Proper updating depends on what game you have.  For the game to be updatable it pretty much has to be loaded from the original CDs which is version 610 or 613 depending on the SKU (SKU1 or SKU2). 

 

The EP1 update for either is found in the STEX, here.  If neither of these will load, your game has an illegal patch in it.  The EP1 patch cannot be loaded over, for example, a No-cd patch.

 

The nightlights patch can be had from various sources.
