I'll cut to the chase: my RRW isn't working and I'm wondering if I can fix it. I know it's 'unfinished' and therefore has problems, but I've seen that it works for others and if I can get it to at least function properly for me, I'd be estatic. I'm not sure what info to post to make things any clearer, just let me know though.

What are the indications that something isn't working correctly? Maybe post an image... There are some texture issues that haven't been addressed as yet, and some crossings aren't supported. For the most part, though, it should at least be functional.

 

Also, it would help to know if your game is left or right hand drive.

The information we need it what do you mean by "not working properly."

Are you positive you installed it?

You have to use the custom installation option when you install NAM, and then select RRW and it options.

 

I use it for both freight and passenger and it functions just fine. There are some networks that you can no longer make with RRW. Is this the problem?

 

Are you using a mod of any kind that effects traffic, demand, growth, or a freight/seaport controller?

If you are, and it did not say very clearly "NAM compatible," this might be your culprit.

I would not use any new controller besides CAM or AC with out a lot of research. Seaport controllers can be a real issue for freight trains

I had it installed for a while, before I noticed that it wasn't working. I uninstalled it so I could get usage back (which I did) and only just installed it again a few days ago, taking care to install it properly (I just skimmed through the installation the first time). I have the NAM (obviously) but other than that I don't have anything that effects traffic, demand, growth, or freight.

 

I use left hand driving. To clarify what I mean by "not working properly", I mean I get no usage with the RRW, not freight or passenger. But if I uninstall it and replace the RRW with maxis rail, the same networks begin working. Here's a picture:

Hi.  There was a bug with NAM 32; unfortunately the left hand drive paths for RRW were left out of the installer.  This is a known error, and a patch has been posted here.  Please place it with the other RRW files in the Network Addon Mod folder.

 

Due to the very small, specific nature of this bug (few RRW users, few LHD users, and even fewer with both) there hasn't been an official update for it, and we haven't done the best job getting the word out about it.  Sorry for the inconvenience.  In the future, the best place to look for NAM problems are the NAM subforums on SC4D and Simtropolis.  Using the search bars is a quick way to check for solutions to known problems.
