Does anyone know a good video editor?

Hello

I would like to know if someone here know about a good video editor which allows me to do high quality videos and has a lot of resources. I mean something like Adobe Premiere, but mine is old and the quality in the final work is not good. Maybe the recent version can do what I want to, so, anyone know some good video editor to help me?

And there are a couple I've seen that are really professional and cost multiple thousands.  I don't remember the titles, but one of them is by SONY.  I don't think they really run well on small home machines.

You could always use Windows Movie Maker as well, which is completely free .

Thanks CapTon and A Nonny Moose! I'm searching about Corel Studio to see it's advantages. Movie Maker is too simple, I need something pro. My friend said Adobe released a great version of Premiere this month and said Vegas is also really good, maybe it's the one A Nonny Moose said. I'll compare all of them to see which one is better for me.

Good luck with that.  I have one that I haven't used called pitivi, but it seems rather primitive.  It does output MPEG4 format.  Linux only, I think.  I only did a short test out of curiosity.
