There are places to go in Canada besides Niagara Falls.

I'm going there soon. I'll be visiting Vancouver and Victoria.

I decided not to visit BC or Vancouver Island because even after the influx of money and great expenses on infrastructure improvements from the Winter Olympics, they still have not started treating their sewage. Therefore, they pollute our waters and I will not contribute to that!

Ocram's Razor: Though "more things shouldn't be used than are necessary," they're just too fun to pass up! Expect many verbose arguments from me. I will try to write abstracts before or short summaries after from now on.

Words to live by:
"Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit. But to each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good. For to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, and to another the word of knowledge according to the same Spirit; to another faith by the same Spirit, and to another gifts of healing by the one Spirit... But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually..." 1 Corinthians 4-11

"Do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own." Matthew 6:34
"Do not judge so that you will not be judged. For in the way you judge, you will be judged; and by your standard of measure, it will be measured to you." Matthew 7:1-3

Wouldn't mind it. But Canada is just about the farthest place on earth from where I am so flights would be expensive!

It's a shame that re-entering the atmosphere is so dangerous.   Otherwise it would be faster to fly straight up into space, hover in stationary orbit until the time zone you want rotates into place beneath you then land again.

There are a lot of problems with that plan or we would be doing it already.

We can inspire others through witness so that one grows together in communicating. But the worst thing of all is religious proselytism, which paralyzes: “I am talking with you in order to persuade you.” No. Each person dialogues, starting with his and her own identity. The church grows by attraction, not proselytizing.    - Pope Francis

Going to Cape Breton Island for my honeymoon this September.  It looks like a beautiful place.  Whale watching, sail boat rides, I think we'll have a lot of fun.

Don't miss the Bras d'Or lakes.  And go sailing.

Oh we won't.  We're staying at Birches in Ben Eoin and going sailing out of Baddeck.  I think they're both on Bras d'Or lake.  We're looking for other activities as well, I'm sure we'll find lots to do there.

I am sure you will.  Shore dinners are always nice.

For one thing, there is no such thing as "stationary orbit". What you propose would require constant thrust to fight gravity in order to "hover". It would also require a lot of force to slow down into stationary position and then to exit it and go back to matching the Earth's rotation. And even then, a trip halfway around the world would take 12 hours. It would be faster and less energy intensive to make use of a ballistic missile style flightpath. This is already done with, well, missiles.

Of course doing this is a lot more difficult when you have passengers and cargo that need to land intact.

And I'm not sure Canada would appreciate having passengers arrive by something that looks like an ICBM, although it would be an awesome ride. :P

There is a landing pad for alien space craft somewhere in Alberta.  Saw a reference recently, but can't find it.

Canada is on the mid part of my bucket list. I'm in no way passionate for seeing nature and such, but I would consider the idea for a honeymoon or something on that fashion, provided that the other person is a nature lover.

I would enjoy visiting Montreal, Toronto and the Falls; but I guess the general opinion is that leaving Canada without getting deep on nature is a horrible crime. Snowboarding in Whistler-Blackcomb would be a blast, but on my skills level it wouldn't make a huge difference.

There is more to going to nature than mountains and snow.  You live nearly in the Pyrenees, so the Rockies wouldn't be much of a surprise.  On the other hand, you might have a great experience paddling a canoe in Algonquin Park, and going out for the nightly wolf howl.

This is right my point. Canada is not "only the Rockies". One of my middle school teachers went there some years ago and told us the bazillion of different stuff he (and his sons) did in natural environments from Manitoba to the west. As far as he explained, he had one of the times of his life.

BTW, I only live near the Pyrenees when I fly back to my parents' place. ;)
